Yesterday's models won't build tomorrow's homes.
We can build a future of belonging, starting today.

To serve as a collective impact organization advancing research, education, and advocacy for innovative neuroinclusive housing models and sustainable funding solutions.

A world where adults with I/DD have real choices in where and how they live, supported by homes and services designed for dignity, accessibility, and wellness, and backed by sustainable funding, informed policy, and a deep understanding of their lived experiences and aspirations.
Current systems are fragmented, underfunded, and fail to reflect real preferences of adults with I/DD.
Families face overwhelming complexity; providers lack unified guidance.
Without systemic change, independence and quality of life remain out of reach.
EmpowerMe Center for Housing Innovation brings people and organizations together to tackle one of the most urgent challenges in disability services: housing. Today’s systems are fragmented and outdated. We bring together researchers, developers, families, and policymakers to design and scale housing models. Through research, education, and advocacy, we’re creating a future where inclusive communities are the norm instead of the exception.

Identify, study, and validate innovative housing, support, and funding models that help adults with I/DD thrive.

Equip adults, families, providers, investors, and community leaders with actionable tools and evidence-based insights.

Build awareness and foster collaboration to advance sustainable, inclusive housing solutions—informing policy and funding solutions.
