Everything Suzy does she does with a HUGE heart and my former Psychologies' magazine editor, brings all of her incredible warmth + wisdom to her Substack – think powerful coaching tools, insightful essays and brilliant creative writing journeys for paid subscribers.
I love Lauren's writing. There's no filter here. And Lauren's motherhood journey feels so familiar... the unravelling and surrendering and all of the messy multitudes we inhabit. So happy she's here on Substack, so that I can connect with her writing more deeply and more often.
One of many thousands of people who enjoy Lia's annual Almanac (always excited to see what new theme will appear each year), I've come to her Substack later in the day, but really enjoy the gentle musings that encourage me to NOTICE more too. Nature walks and their abundant magic – all around. Also a lovely way to ease into a day.
I have been reading JUNO since my not-so-babies were newborn, and even now, love returning to its warm, wise, inclusive pages. I have also loved having the opportunity to write for JUNO a lot over the years... my 'Year in Nature' series, was a joy to work on.
Beautiful, gentle stories, woven with warmth and visual inspiration. A lovely nook of the web to spend time in, ideally with a cuppa.
If Women Rose Rooted remains one of my favourite reads of all time, and I love Sharon Blackie's inimitable voice – the way she sees the world and navigates it, soul-first. I've not yet had the pleasure of reading her latest book, Hagitude, but it's on my pile! Until then, her regular musings top me up with awe, curiosity and joy.
One of the warmest-hearted souls I've had the pleasure to meet and subsequently fall in love with, Melissa's recipes encapsulate both ease & deliciousness, and I also love the long letters she sends out with lists of frugal, joyful recommendations.
I first met Nahid via her Good Vibes yoga studio while working nearby, in a buzzy magazine office. She was so utterly down-to-earth, real, funny, warm and in the years since we've known one another, I love how her work has evolved to focus on the gentle & intuitive. Nahid's 'Sunday Worship' letters (first via Instagram) always brought a big smile of recognition – small stuff to be eminently grateful for – and I love her restorative breath and movement classes.
For lovers of writing, reading + short stories in particular (an ode to Alice Munro, as the eponymous inspirer). Huma's a beautiful writer (a novelist herself, too), and I always enjoy her reflections.
