Top-down approaches are, thankfully, going out of fashion. In their stead, we are finding that leading MNCs are taking iterative and collaborative steps with supply chain partners at tiers 1 and 2.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Ganapati Initiative<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Our flagship Supplier Capability building programme goes from strength to strength. Initially established in Thailand and Malaysia, this has extended to Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia. We launched a dedicated <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ganapatiinitiative.co\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, established a Members\u2019 only Hub, and are finding <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/embode.co\/ts-packagings-journey-with-the-ganapati-initiative\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">active engagement by suppliers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and high levels of satisfaction from our clients.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Training and Learning Events: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On behalf of Industry membership bodies such as AIM-Progress and Bonsucro, we have delivered dedicated supplier-focused training on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bonsucro.com\/strengthening-responsible-recruitment-and-grievance-mechanisms-in-the-sugarcane-sector\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">grievance mechanisms, responsible recruitment<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/aim-progress.com\/event\/aim-progress-supplier-capability-building-programme-thailand-2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">worker engagement and social dialogue <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">across Malaysia, Thailand, India, El Salvador and Brazil with <\/span><b><i>over 650 supplier<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> participants (and counting). Our additional Learning Events have reached<\/span><b><i> another 200 supplier participants<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> globally.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-31c104d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"31c104d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">2.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Assessing Risks and Mapping Supply Chains<\/span><\/b><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><b>: <\/b>Despite the important role of AI and digital databases, Embode\u2019s on-the-ground human intelligence is still unparalleled in eliciting under-estimated risks across supply chains and sectors. It remains important to limit echo chambers of existing data, whilst ensuring collective blind spots are identified in underreported or dynamic parts of supply chains. Over 2025, we continued to carry out detailed mapping on elaborate supply chains, across tiers, processes and product categories at a global scale. The level of mapping provides invaluable insights into where risks are most salient for any company, supporting an evidence-based risk prioritisation approach. We also carried out desk-based <\/span><a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/responsible-mica-initiative.com\/preliminary-findings-of-social-risks-assessments-in-brazil-and-malaysia\/\">sector-wide assessments<\/a><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> as well as dedicated <\/span><a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/aim-progress.com\/resource\/harnessing-the-potential-of-supply-chain-sustainability-a-spotlight-into-supplier-perspectives-from-asia\">supply chain consultations<\/a><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">3.\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Remediation<\/b><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">: The (missing) pillar of Remediation continues to elude corporate HRDD systems, and the BHR sector in general. Over 2025, we are supporting leading MNCs in establishing and strengthening remediation functions within their own operations, as well as in their supply chains. The fundamental key in setting up effective remediation functions is not simply focusing on \u2018grievance mechanisms\u2019, but actually setting up capable structures that <\/span><b style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><i>know what to do<\/i><\/b><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> when risks and allegations are raised. We also carried out direct worker consultations prompting remediative action plans and provided expert strategic advice to clients dealing with allegations and grievances.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2026, we have three key objectives:\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Supply Chain Focus: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Re-double efforts in Supplier Engagement, harnessing the power of insights, relationships and context-specific understanding to improve HRDD standards inclusively.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Remediation Functions:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Establish a standalone Remediation Advisory service for businesses needing to respond to grievances and allegations both systemically and operationally.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Rightsholder Engagement:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> support clients in directly engaging rightsholders and workers, through practice, facilitation as well as direct face-to-face consultations.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do get in touch to learn more about any area of our work!
