The islands of Malta, otherwise now known as ground zero, have been officially quarantined after an explosion in Valletta spread mass panic throughout the country. Citizens of the archipelago have been advised to sit tight and wait for the extermination of what the BBC considers a new strain of 'rabies' (otherwise known as Lyssaflu). Those infected are encouraged to turn themselves in for cleansing. Despite the efforts of the local government, special operatives labeled ELVIRA have stepped in to take charge of the purge. Since the arrival of ELVIRA, Malta has lost contact with the rest of the world. The status of the infection is as of now, undetermined.
