....So I finally finished a term paper for my bio class. You know, the one that was due on Friday. But I'm so thankful that the teacher said I could turn it in tomorrow. I hope it doesn't affect my grade too much. Otherwise, my dad might get disappointed....

I almost forgot about a test I have on Monday. I should probably start studying for it, but... it's late...

Ugh. School is going okay, but did my teachers really need to schedule test all at the SAME TIME? My dad wants me to study until I get everything down. But this really sucks. Not even all the tests were all scheduled at the same time when I was still in high school. Well, all the midterms and finals were, but this test is just a regular test.

....Something tells me that my dad is hiding something from me.... He spent another hour in the shower this morning when I wanted to shower for 10 minutes. What... Can anyone tell me what's going on...?

I think I'm coming down with something... I started getting sniffly earlier this afternoon. I hate getting sick. HATE IT. So when I got home, my dad made me home-made chicken soup. I love you, dad. But I'm still really tired. I think... I think I'm gonna stay home from my classes tomorrow and spend some time with my dad. But... I think I should take a bath before I head to bed. But dad has been in there for almost an hour. I can't help but think that something's wrong...

Thank Goddess that I got a decent grade on my geology test. I didn't think I was going to do well on it, but I did okay! Some of my classmates weren't so lucky, though. Sure it was a hard test, but there was just too much stuff to absorb, ya know?

I don't know what this 700 billion gold bailout is all about but the government classes have been talking so much about it. I'm not even sure if I wanna know but I've been seeing it a lot on TV, too. Haha, could it be because Sothe's doing bad things out there? XD

Alright. So hopefully, I'll get the last book I need for the psych class. Sometimes, I wish fire tomes were as cheap as these books but I guess I can live.

Is it weird to see my dad eating raw meat? He asked me to go to the store and get some chicken breast so he could make me some caramel marinated chicken, but then when I went to go get a drink, I saw him take a huge chicken breast raw and he ate it. What in the world...?

Ya know, my dad and I don't really mind that Sothe stays the night. But it'd be nice if he'd tell us when he leaves.

Darn, I forgot to buy one of my books today. The one for psych. I'm not entirely sure why I have to take that class, but it seems so much easier than chemistry or biology. Plus, I thought it'd be fun to learn about what runs in peoples' minds. At least, that's what my dad suggested. And it really seemed to be a good idea.

I forgot to tell my dad that I got another Fire tome so I should probably go to the police department and get that registered before I start using it. By the way, why are magic tomes getting expensive all of a sudden? I remember them being 200 gold last year and this year they're 360? Ugh. I feel really bad having to ask my dad for money all the time. Maybe I can get a part-time job at the school or something since I'm a full-time student.

Thank Goddess it's Friday tomorrow. I can lounge around the house all day and make my dad some lunch when he gets home from work!

• Currently a freshman in college at Miami Dade College
• Lives with his "father", Muarim.
• Still is unaware of the fact that his "father", Muarim, is a laguz. Of course, he has his suspicions.

Things of the past ---

• Originally from the Bahamas, he lost his parents during Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
• A small tribe of tiger laguz found Tormod and decided to take them in during their trek to the Everglades. He eventually grew attached to a green tiger named Muarim.
• When he was able, he became interested in fire magic and thus decided to begin studying it when he was 15.
• All his life, Muarim kept it hidden that he is a laguz, afraid that other beorc might hate Tormod because he has a laguz father, which may lead the rest of the beorc to mark him a "branded".
• He met and befriended Sothe while he went to Miami Palmetto High School. They have lost touch since Tormod graduated.
