My first day of real employment.
Wow. My first day of real employment in over a year.
I mean, feels no different to the last 3 months at the same place.
Except today I did overtime.
And this'll be my life now. get up at 0620, get to work at 0700, work through 'til 1700 (with an hour off for tea, lunch and tea again) Home by about 1745ish.
But woo. I've like...got a career, man.
It's been raining on and off all day, occasionally torrential. I've had to leg it in from the yard a few times, hurdling all obstacles, just to avoid getting drenched.
And today was the first time it was still dark in the morning when i got up. I mean, it's been gloomy before, but this morning it was dark enough for the street lamps to be on still.
Hm. New chapter of my life.
