sometimes you can't do right...
...for doing wrong.
Today, foolish woman, I tried to test our emergency lighting in the workshop. A simple task, you'd think! Shove the emergency lighting key in the emergency lighting test slot.
Yeah....
So, three complete wiring fails later, we now have no lighting at all in the girl's toilets (the toilet also doesn't flush unless you fill the cistern up each time you use the loo, so that's all around brilliant, because now you get to do all that whilst lit only by torchlight), one set of sockets that doesn't work, and 3 shutters, on our 2 office windows and the front door which don't have any power....
However, it being the weekend, and us desperately needing to shut the shutters, we rewired them into a rat trap and ran that off an extension lead from the other side of the workshop... But jeeeeez, you try to do a good deed and it's just a nightmare!!
Apart from that, this week I have made a cloud, given blood, made half a house, and fixed a computer, a server, two nail guns...and now some shutters!
