New wheels...
Jojo and I are buying a car. Well, I don't have a driving licence...but the point is that I might now get one, if we get a new car!!
We want a little Aygo:
So we went and test drove one today. It's just a wee car, but it's road-tax-free, lowest insurance band, really cheap to run and Congestion-charge-free, comes with a 5yr warranty, fixed price services and a guaranteed future value.
Thing is, there are newer cars out there that cost less, and are arguably better, but we like this one :)
Sooo...now we have to decide how to play it! Basically, we lied and said we were going to see loads of other dealers and get other test drives, when really, we're not. We've checked out all the other cars on offer online and decided there are things about them/the service package they come with that don't work out so well for us.
However, the salesperson we spoke to today seemed...eager to make a sale. So we're trying to play on that. And I'm wondering how far we can push it! She offered us, before we'd got anywhere, that they'd be willing to 'do a deal', she said she'd be happy if I wanted to take a test drive - bear in mind I haven't got a driving licence! Because she could arrange for me to do it off-road, and she said she really wanted to make a sale before the year end...
So...yes, we're trying to play it cool, but hopefully by next weekend we can come to a deal and order it!
