Aaaaalll byyyyyy mmyyyyyysseeeeeeeelllllfffff
I was all alone for the first hour of work today (the boss had warned me I would be, whilst ignoring all of his own rules that we can't lone-work). Then Razor turned up, but he's working up on the paint mezz, and I'm in the main workshop - so may as well be alone, pretty much. And he found out the dog bowl we use to boil up rabbit skin had sprung a leak - he's lucky he's working with the only welder in the company who's happy to dive in an weld up unknown metals! I fixed it. It is as nice a job as it sounds...
Plus I have to take all the phonecalls, and I don't actually know where people are/when they're due back, so my offerings to people calling are vague at best, and I've scribbled messages on every flat surface I've been near...so they're spread over my workbench (written directly onto the bench) and todays paper (in the kitchen).
My job is...awkward. Not bad, but slow and complex and needs to be done very carefully. And it needs the clamps which I think have alleen taken on site, with the rest of the boys. (whole workshop full of lads, all out fitting a staircase...whos the only person here who's made a living for 4 yrs fitting staircases....oh, that'd be me! Who's not on site....yeah, me :) ) And it's only Monday!
