If we don't change direction soon we'll end up where we're going.
I'm preparing for our road trip to Italy. We leave at 4am on Tuesday morning. I have 8 days of music on my iPod and a borrow iTrip for the journey. Which will be a minor pain in the arse, what with going through every radio station in the western world, so lots of iTrip retuning may be required.
But still, I have everything from the Dances with Wolves soundtrack to Robert Downey Jr's album, via Leonard Cohen, La Roux and Guns n Roses. What's the betting that a day or so in I won't be able to find anything I want to listen to??
I've done something to my ankle. Well, technically I did it ages ago, but it's getting worse. And that's the sort of nonsense up with which I shall not put. So I've got it in a strap to try to stop it misbehaving. I've done all the internet based self diagnosis any normal 21st Century person would do, and it ALL points to ligament damage. So I'm ignoring that as far as severity goes, but I am treating it right - straps, ice, elevation, rest (well, apart from work tomorrow!).
I did some checking out and discovered there's a place down the road from work that has the best currency conversion rates in the UK! So I'm going to get our holiday money from there tomorrow. I HATE carrying money around with me in London, but it's got to be done. Getting it in a local Post Office or something would get me 30 Euros less than this place in London. That's a lot of coffee.
So...just work tomorrow, then ROAD TRIP. Then holiday. Lazing about, drinking Campari bitter and coffee, writing (there shall be writing) I must write. Write write write. I need to get things finished. Yeah. Plus I need to take people to places in Italy. Frasassi, San Marino, places like that. And this time I'm going to take some pictures - I mean, I've taken a few before, but I'd like some more, of the city, the places that are almost like home to me.
