What's this? Another update? So soon?
Today my morning went something like this:
Me: Arrive at work, unlock, potter about getting my branflakes and no fat yoghurt, log on to t'internets, begin to eat brekky. Hear door downstairs go (know it's the boss cos I heard the van.)
Boss: Walks upstairs. "Hi, how are you?"
Me: "Good, ta. You?"
Boss: "Yeah, well, y'know everything's shit. But apart from that...
Ahhhh, first thing on a Monday morning, the one thing you REALLY want to hear is that 'everything's shit'.
Reasons everything's shit:
One member of staff stuck in Milan.
One member of staff stuck in Rome.
Two members of staff stuck in Shanghai.
Boss stuck in London, when he should be in Shanghai.
Work which HAD to be in Shanghai languishing in a freight warehouse in Heathrow. Work we were PROMISED would be on the flight to Shanghai, but which the shipping company decided to bump to the next flight. The flight it should have been one left before the great Ash shutdown. The flight it was rescheduled to did not.
Everything for the Chelsea pavilion seems to be going wrong. Basic leg structure went okay, but today I've been working on the roof...and whoa, it's not good. Everything needs working on, all the laser cut stuff seems to be wrong, which makes it VERY hard to figure out where everything in this massive jigsaw goes, because when nothing fits you've just got nothing to go on.
Still, means I'm busy...worked 9 hours today, plus 15 mins for lunch at 2pm. Was running the roof side of things, teaching/watching one of the new guys learn to use the synergic MIG plant (he did well, but it's really not ideal for him to be making things for artists when he's NEVER used a synergic before!)
And it's only Monday XD
