jonboy1 and I went to see my Dad and Stepmum last night - left here about 9am, got to them for lunchtime. Looked to see how the old man was getting along with building his pond, ripped the piss out of him for most of the time, because that's how our relationship works. He once again accused me of making his every action sound totally farcical - which is indeed what I do.

It's three photos stitched together - only taken on my mobile phone, so not stellar quality. But I thought it was kind of cool, even if it sort of distorts the garden!

It was lovely seeing them - although they had to go out to a party last night. Jojo and I just relaxed in the house - I love my old man's house. It was so peaceful - no traffic noise, nothing. Except a Night-Jar being noisy out the back somewhere. We weren't up in time to see any deer or anything - quite often there are deer on his lawn in the morning.

Oh, and Jojo tried to strangle me in his sleep! At the time he said he was awake, but he was clearly asleep and doesn't remember grabbing me by the throat this morning. But he did redeem himself this morning ;)

Then this morning my mother had made a huge fuss that I was going to come and see my Dad and not her, so she'd organised that we should meet at 11am in the town near my old man's place for coffee etc.

I rang her last night, but there was no answer, then tried her mobile this morning, but it had no signal, so I sent her a text saying 'see you there' this morning....but I didn't see her when we arrived. So I called her mobile again and it was still diverted to answerphone, so in the end I rang her work number. And she answered. I was like "It's 11, shouldn't you be somewhere?" Long silence... "You asked to meet me, in Chippenham, this morning?"......"OH I TOTALLY FORGOT! I was wondering why my organiser beeped at me this morning"....but you didn't check why the alarm was set?...obviously not....

This is so typical of her. If I had forgotten to meet her there would have been hell to pay, but because it was the other way around it was just funny, apparently.

So we abandoned that plan, Jojo and I had a little walk around town - and down memory lane, cos we used to live and work there, when we started going out, then headed back.

Now I'm sitting in the shop 'working'..meaning keeping Jojo company.
