stop ringing!
I can't find our house phone anywhere. People keep ringing. SRSLY, where the fuck is it?? And no, I can't find it by the noise, cos it's the base-unit that rings. GAAAAAAAH.
My day started with a phonecall (on my mobile XD) from work at 6am, saying "Can you be ready to leave in 8 minutes? You're needed on site."
So (luckily I was already awake) I got up, dressed and outside my front door ready to go and work in Horsham, on what was possibly the coldest place on earth.
The welcome we got on site..."One in four people who come to work on a building site today will be injured. One in seven will be severe enough to result in loss of earnings. More than one person per week will die."
And then got a lecture on the symptoms of Weil's Disease, cos the site is a bit rat-infested. I like rats.
And there's a big poster of a guy who's just chopped his fingers off. Nice.
I think it was actually colder inside the building than outside - although given there weren't many windows in it was hard to pick between outside and inside.
I may well be out again tomorrow. I'll wear more layers.
