late night ponderings

Is it really old skool of me to think that slash pairings should ALWAYS be referred to in order of rank or seniority? Because I always write Gene/Sam and Ray/Chris, but other people don't seem to mind which way around it goes. In fact, I think most people probably write Sam/Gene.

Am I showing my age when I admit that it actually bothers me? Am I the fuddiest of duddies?

I just think it makes the place look neat if everyone refers to pairings the same way...
