Easter!
Yayes! I'm finally at Jojo's again - it feels like forever since I've seen my Urchin (although it is in fact just two weeks). I arrived at about lunchtime, so we went shopping and then came back to the flat. Had a bit of a tidy up, Jojo went back to work and I slept did some work too.
Then we went to Speedway. For those who don't know, Speedway is 15 races per meet, four laps per race, between two teams of seven, four riders per race, two from each team, noisy motorbikes, fixed gears, no suspension to speak of, which accelerate from 0-60 in 3 seconds (on par with an F1 racecar) OH...and they don't have any brakes. In the old days there were only steel fences between the riders and the crowd, now there are air fences...but there are still big ol' accidents.
Anyway, the home team (which I suppose is now 'my' team) - Lakeside Hammers - won. It was a nice evening.
Boy, have I missed my Urchin...::snuggles::
Oh - and as it's the SuperBike weekend at Brands, we shall now be stuck here for the duration pretty much...It'll be gridlock soon. People are already up here camping, and practise doesn't even start til tomorrow. And I forgot my camera - gutted. I wanted to go down and photo the carparks (that sounds dumb, but honestly, hundreds of thousands of motorbikes all parked up is a fantastic sight) I might use my camera on a phone, which is crap, but better than nothing.
