my own little mark on the world...
...sometimes, it's nice to see a glimpse of the mark you make on the world. Seeing something that wouldn't have happened if it hadn't been for you.
On Friday, there was a conversation in our workshop that wouldn't have happened had I not gone to work there.
Picture the scene: Nick, Irish, 62, Catholic is standing by the hydraulic bandsaw trying to explain to Paul, ex Royal Navy, 58, what a butt plug is and why one would want to use one...
I explained butt plugs to Nicholas some months ago, and he was now passing that info on. He called me over in the end, because Pauly wouldn't believe such things existed or that one could easily buy one.
Made me proud.
In other news, this morning SiBorg came down to the 'shop and asked Ph and I when our job would be ready to go onsite. We said the end of next week. He wasn't too impressed.
This afternoon he told us we're onsite on Thursday. As in, day after tomorrow. He's all heart.
