our flat
Recently our flat seems to have...well, grown up. The three of us have all lived together for a long time now, but we all came from Studentsville. Meaning we all had random furniture we'd picked up along the way that didn't match or make any real sense.
Right now I own: A bookcase, a low cabinet (which my TV stands on) a wooden chest thing (which is full of shit) my set of glass shelves and a mattress.
Recently though, our flat has come about a sofa (zomg! a sofa!) and a dining table - we iz growed up!
So I'm thinking of switching my bookshelves for a storage thingy - like a bookcase, but...squarer. And a BED. A BED! How much of an adult would I be then? PLUS, as a bonus, I could put things from shitty wooden chest full of shit in some clever under-bed storage and therefore get rid of chest and free up a bit of my room so my built-in-wardrobe doors might be persuaded to open with more ease and things would generally be...better.
I just need to measure up some things and get moving.
Half of me thinks that it would be kinda cool to make my own bed...but a whole other bit of me thinks that sounds like hard work and probably more money than buying one would be...plus I do like timber bed frames. I can always accessorize...
