Getting from there to here
Yayes!
We're here all safe and sound, and after reading the reviews Air Canada has had, I have to say I was a little worried about our flight over (although I guess people only feel moved to review if they wan't a moan, right?)
To start the journey off with I checked that it was ok to put our PacSafe's on our rucksacks (these are locking wire mesh contraptions that prevent people stealing stuff from the rucksacks) I held an entire check in queue as a captive audiene as I put the things on the bags and Jojo gave a running commentary :) T'was tres funny.
Anyhow, our flight here was the BEST flight I've ever had in my LIFE (and my first ever plane journey was before I was one...I've done a few in my time) This was mainly because the plane was empty. In our section we had four stewardesses, over seventy seats and...FIFTEEN passangers. I managed to use nine seats all to myself, including stretching out over the middle three seats for a couple of nice long kips. We had excellent service from the stewardesses, who were really stuck for jobs to do, so some of them also crashed out! We had four or five times more room than the folks in first class!
Then we arrived to be greeted by
pixienymph,
skaloop,
qzee,
purpig21,
kayjayuu etc. And after a few more pickup from various stations etc, we are all here!
Then we experienced a whole lot of Vancouver's public transport systems ::grins at
skaloop and went to the ice hockey game! It was FANTASTIC, and definitely more fun than watching the baseball. We had seats right behind the visiting team's bench, and a good view of everything. Especially the loud foul-mouthed away team coach, who almost gave himself a heart-attack, despite winning!!
Anyways, after I almost fell asleep on my feet on the way home, we went to bed and today we're off to the aquarium, amongst other things, and then all back here for a big CKR watching squee-fest ::avoids cat walking across keyboard::
Oh yes, and both the cats are gorgeous, and both attention-whores ;)
