Mr Boombastic
On Friday, we got a new sound system in the back workshop. We've always had two synchronised radios on before (sometimes not so synchronised...) And if we wanted tapes on, we put the back radio on, turned up to full blast.
It was discussed that the ability to play CDs would be fun...
So eBay was consulted, and a mini hifi system was purchased for the princely sum of £2.
When it arrived on Friday, speaker brackets were welded up and it was put up on the back wall. My bench has an end on the back wall. One of the speakers is now above my bench. The speaker gives out 90dB. That's above the level you need to wear ear defs for! The problem is, however, that the CD player bit of it dies at random intervals. We've diagnosed a dry joint, but no-one can be bothered to sit in a darkened room with it to watch for the tiny spark as it cuts out.
So tomorrow, apparently, another one is arriving. A different make. ::sigh::
I've made up a CD...the old guys will prolly go mental, but hey, it's fun.

Oh...my welder kills the radio on the first one too. Kills it dead. The massive frequency and HUGE energy transfer cuts the signal down to a loud farting noise. It suckzors.
