The other day Smecs and I were walking from her work to get coffee. A guy standing on the corner saw me coming and asked "Do you know where Habitat is?"
So, being a good citizen (who shops in that particular furnishing store regularly) I said "It's just up here, turn left, keep going - and it's late night opening tonight..." And Smecs dragged me away. I thought this was rather rude.
But then Smecs explained that he's always there...and he'd actually asked me "Do you know where heaven is?"
Hm. I think he should have taken the Habitat directions. He'd've had more fun.
AND I got jumped out on by a random clipboard-clutching surveyer/charity botherer..I dunno....but it was in the CYCLE lane. I was on my BIKE. I couldn't have stopped even if I tried. Stupido people.
BTW, got email from
sal_at_home from Patagonia. She's fine, enjoying herself...forgotten her LJ password or you'd all be getting an update from the horse's mouth.
