Absence of the Urchin
Work is smeg. They didn't order in my metal for yesterday, so I tidied under my bench - found things from before I was born. But now, apart from the black hole of Portslade up at one end, it's clear. Woot.
Metal arrived today, so I started drawing out to measure and cut everything up. Got two six flight stairs and a nine flight to do, although I think I've palmed off the nine flight to Al.
We also had tonnes of steel in, which didn't go down too well when I told Fab (one of my physiotherapists) that I'd been carrying it around. Physio was pretty good. I managed to sit on a stool for about ten minutes with no pain. Then I rolled about on a big inflateable ball, but got the giggles so couldn't do all my muscle exercises. Found out one of the girls I'm friendly with not only lives about four doors up from me, but is also flying out to Canada on the 28th of Oct..spooooky. We promised each other that we weren't stalkers.
Hmm..what else in my life? Not much. Cycling to work is still FAB - although I have NO idea how I'm going to get my bike out tomorrow morning, because they've sort of boarded us into our flat - all the walkways are blocked off with ply...hmmmmmmmmm. Maybe I'll try and squish the bike in the lift.
