My dinner will burn whilst writing this...
Cycled to work again. Felt fantastic. Although carrying my bike up and down 7 flights of stairs isn't so much fun! But in 6 weeks the new bike racks will be done and Apollo (my bike...so original >_<) can go and live down there. I hope he makes new friendsI also hope someone else has a bike far more stealable than him, even though the racks have CCTV
Today my bench was like the bermuda triangle for electrical goods. Everything broke - and the brushes on my grinder went weird so it makes a wet 'thrrraaaaaaaapppppp' sound when it starts up now - culminating (after I'd fixed everything) in ALL my power trips blowing out. My 110, 240 and 3Phase power ALL went. So I have to do a feat of mountaineering to climb up the wall and flick them back. Why didn't they fit my bench trips at the bottom - I am the third shortest person in the workshop! They didn't blow again, which makes me suspicious as to why they did in the first place.
After getting home went and had coffee and cake on the beach opposite our block - we call it the 'front garden' (the lawns and the beach). And I pondered upon why we try to make stuff sound so exotic here - The Marina. Hove Lagoon. Shoreham Beach. All of the above consist of manky brown/grey water and concrete. Nothing exotic. Just grey. And smelly.
I've been accidentally feeling up all the boys at work to - well, not feeling them up...more saving them/crashing into them/falling on them/having them fall on me. Anyway, involves a lot of bodily contact with the over 60s. (just rescued my dinner) I fell into the gas bottle store with Nick ( a large sheet of mesh jumped in our way as we ran full pelt bobsleigh-stylee with our barrow) AND when doing the same running-full pelt with a tonne of beam on the barrow (with the hope that when the barrow crashes into the stock on the floor the tonne of beam will be catapulted on top of the pile) Matt did an emergency stop in front of me, causing me to career into the back of him, then grab him so he didn't fall over! Oh, and I caught Nick as he fell gracefull backwards into my arms after tripping over an anvil! I tell ya, working with so many boys - they just fight for my attention! hee!
Erm...any other business? Nope, can't think.
