I have beta'd fic awaiting my attention, but because my laptop won't go online on SUCKY AOL I'll have to wait until I get home to even DL the frickin' file.
Work is great apart from Gary's stupid petty one-upmanship fucking drama queen behaviour. He is such a spoilt little cunt.
jonboy1 was goin to come and pick me up after work to go to his for the weekend, but because of yesterdays torrential rain he couldn't get down here - there were about 39 miles of tailbacks. So I got the train, which was no prob - except I didn't have a pen on me - only my writing pads. I actually went and bought a pen at Victoria!
Work was interesting yesterday because of the weather. It was so dark it was hard to see what we were welding - top tip here is to strike an arc with a long piece of wire sticking out of your welder, then, once it's glowing bright orange, use it as a torch to see where to place your weld. And as everything was wet (my bench has a total of five leaks above it - Matt's has a leak so bad we filled a whole bucket of water up from it! Thank fully, he's away this week, so didn't get a soaking) and water and electricity don't mix...yep, electric shocks galore.
Oh, and my latest contract...comes complete with architect's drawings...PLUS the bonus of scribbled notation from the company...only one problem. The company notes say I should make it with a rake (angle) or 18.9 degrees...the archi ones say i should be working to 31.6. Slight discrepency? :::le sigh:::
