**HOLY CRAP**
I was just about to LJ about the amazing smell of the rain, and how fantastic it is and how I was waiting for a storm (but we were quickly cooking dinner before we lose power!!)
And then the first clap of thunder came...it was a long way away, but the windows rattled, the entire flat shook and I almost fell off the bed it swayed so much! We've counted and it's currently about 9 seconds from lightening to hearing thunder. OMG frickin' God. This is gonna be one hell of a ride.
(we live on top of the tallest hill for many many miles...I'm just very glad that not long ago they took the huge 5 foot high sattelite dish off our roof! That made us almost the highest point in the county!!)
