cos everyone else has done it and I may as well out myself as a watcher of some pretty rough telly-visi-yun. (And besides, I'm eating a cut price cake with a spork as I watch bad TV right now)
a. Post a list of 20 (yuh rught) TV shows you watch (current or cancelled!)
b. Have your friends list guess your favourite CHARACTER from each show and/or ship-pairing (that bit stolen from
kannaophelia who stole it from
elsewherecw)
c. When guessed bold the line for character and italicise for pairing and write a sentence about why you like that character or pairing.
d. Post in your own livejournal.
1. Enterprise Malcolm. British, stoic, armoury officer. In love with...the one you haven't guessed yet ;). Possibly angsty childhood. Such a perfect slash character. And cheekbones to die for. Trip (the one you have guessed now) Because he's upbeat and happy and optimistic (most of the time) and also gorgeous. The perfect counterpoint to Malcolm. And he writes himself for me.
2. The Champions Craig Stirling. I don't care if he is a slightly orange and plastic-looking token American...he's fab! And a pilot ::swoon:: I just wish they'd done more with the episode 'Interrogation' because døodz, he was betrayed by his organisation.
3. The Professionals Doyle. Stylish, moody, over thoughtful, yet still dangerous as hell and would do anything to protect those he loves, even if he has to angst about it later. Plus had fantastic flats (and arse)
4. Drop the Dead Donkey
5. The Brittas Empire Tim/Gavin. OMG, my first ever pairing...ever. Tim's so perfectly camp at times, and his eyes say it all. And during later series he is pretty hot ;) Gavin - well, he lies and is really in no way perfect, but does have the most fabulous eyes and I've met the geezer who plays him (Tim Marriott), and he's a squillion times more gorgeous in real life.
6. The X-Files Mulder. David Duchovny. Laconic cool. Geekdom. Got the best lines. I adored him.
7. The Man from Uncle Naps! er..Napoleon Solo. Swarve and sophis. And when he kicks the door in in...uh...the movie one, with the numbers...just so fucking cool. Obviously he needs Illya, and is a womanising bastard. But I likes him that way.
8. Diagnosis Murder Yeah, Steve. Well, Steve and Jesse, I guess ;) But the big cop got my vote. So unlikely, the whole cop/life/dad/bbq joint everything. OMG and his truck. Maybe I should change this to 'Steve's truck'. hmm.
9. Grange Hill (1992-98, should you need more of a clue)
(Okay, now I'm getting really desperate - trying to recall my youth of tv addiction)
10. Minder
11. Buck Rogers
12. Star Trek TOS Kirk! Yes, yes, diss him all you like. I don't give a fuck, he was my favourite cos he got the alien bird, ignored the good advice of his crew and lost his shirt in every episode. I have to say McCoy made him all the better though.
13. nah, 's no good. I can't think of any more. And frankly some of the above are scraping the barrel a little.
