By understanding the processes of diseases, you will better understand not only what damage they cause, but also how that damage is caused, which can help you consider the most appropriate management options.

Find modules that explore the cornea's physiology and biomechanics, as well as imaging and diagnostic methods. Understanding these fundamental concepts is important to better conceptualise how diseases (and indeed treatments and surgeries) affect the cornea, as well as what this might mean for you (as the clinician) and your patient. 

Use these modules to build your knowledge of keratoplasty, including the tools you use and the procedures as they are performed today. The issues covered include surgical techniques and considerations when keratoplasty is indicated with comorbidities.

Find modules that outline and explain non-transplant surgeries of the cornea, including corneal collagen cross linking (and its developments), use of amniotic membrane and keratoprosthesis. Learn the purpose of, and approaches used, in these surgeries as well as the manner in which they work to improve the condition of the cornea.
