Shop MSD is an extensive eCommerce platform for the Avalanche Safety team in Golden BC. This website features hundreds of products across a wide variety of categories. Using WooCommerce, we were able to perform considerable customizations to how the store functions. There are different customer types who have access to their own pricing grids; for example, a Professional has access to deeper discounts on certain products than Staff would have. In addition, each customer must be tied to one of the retail stores supplied by Shop MSD's wholesale arm. Using a store locator, and some pretty fancy geolocation, we're able to deduce which stores a customer is close to, and they can then choose which partner store to ship their products too. This allows the final piece of the puzzle, where sales are attributed back to partner stores, so metrics and commissions can be provided for each partner store.
