since anytime i post my eggs for clicks/views, my thread turns into a small trade forum for my LJ friends, i thought i would make a post just for that purpose since it's Halloween time at the cave and now is our chance to get some breeds that we may not have had access to when we started. if you're looking for an egg or hatchling of a specific breed (and color variant if they have one) leave a comment here. if someone else has one to give or trade (or will breed one for trade) they can reply to your comment and the two of you can haggle from there.

also, feel free to leave "ads" for any dragons you're willing to breed for others.

So the mechanic called today, and there was actual good news! *hearts*

The costs on the repair, even with labor and tax, came in $500 less than estimated! I'm SO HAPPY.

Also he's finished and ready to be picked up anytime. (I'm so glad. I missed Silver so, so much.)

With the donations that came in today, that means that I'm only about $600 shy of what I need, rather than an entire thousand. That means that if enough people can donate today/tomorrow, I can have my Jeep back on monday and get back to my life. (And dealing with the whole finding another job issue, but that's it's own special stress, lol.)

I am not okay right now.

That's a really hard sentence to write, ngl. But I'm not. I've tried to be, and I've tried to put on my brave face and smile and what have you, but right now I am just. There's just too much going on and it's not helping anything.

Everyone at work is leaving. To be expected, with the store closing, but not having the crew I enjoy working with makes it harder to go in, and makes it harder to have support irl.

And then of course, there's the Jeep. The fundraiser has managed to bring in a shade over $1000 now, but that's still $2000 to go and no real way to bring it in unless the bank approves the loan I applied for yesterday by some miracle. (My credit is fine, but my income is not once they factor in the fake rent amount they were required to put on the paperwork. I don't know why "occupy with no rent" is unacceptable, but it was.)

And well. Knowing that if I don't get the Jeep fixed, I will become jobless (obviously) is its own special brand of panic-inducing stress. I can't go to interviews while sharing the piece of shit car with my brother and my mom (especially now that he's working in the city too) and it's hard to get both of us to work and back because we work opposite schedules. (Close enough that he can drop me off at 9am, at least, but.)

I'm scared. The work thing was scary enough before I found out I had to replace an entire engine, and this has just been so much worse. And on top of that, I'm not sleeping much because of all this anxiety. It's... not fun.

I haven't talked about much thats going on in my life lately (not here, anyway), because it's been just stupidly stressful and I haven't wanted to deal with it. And some things I haven't wanted to put into words, or couldn't because I've been hamstrung by my company's media policy.

BUT. No one from my store reads this journal so I'm going to say it here so that I can get it off my chest.

My store is closing. After October 28, I will either be working at a different location, working for a different company or "enjoying" my 6 week's worth of severance pay. It's stupidly stressful, and it's making most all of us snappish and angry all the time.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!

My Jeep has been in the shop for two weeks and is going to cost a little over $3,000 to repair. It's the engine and I'm in pretty dire straits as far as getting the money goes. (Part time, retail slave, let me sing the lament of my people.) This is also stressful and I am super cranky and anxious and it's just not helping anything. Also, I'm not sure how I'm getting to work from one day to the next until I get it fixed.

It's as awful as you imagine.

Hi everyone!

As some of you know, my mom has been struggling with some pretty serious health issues for the last sever months. She's had heart problems, seizures due to lack of nutrients like salt and potassium, and now she's been diagnosed with sleep apnea.

Her last condition there is easily treatable, but insurance companies are evil and they won't cover the full cost of the machine she needs to keep breathing while she's asleep.

in the wake of the-the EVERYTHING that 2016 has been. (so, so much of it just unbearably horrible T_T) i am making a 2017 resolution. Just one, and it's not going to be stupid or unrealistic. It's not going to be hard to do, so there is no reason I cannot keep it.

I am going to comment on EVERY SINGLE FIC I READ. every one. I will use reading fic as a tool for spreading positivity and love, even when i feel it lacking. if i can write 3000 words in the middle of a depressive spell, i can manage "i like this, thank you for writing it."

and I will. I promise.

And this starts today, which means i need to go dig up those two fic updates i had in my mailbox and read before i was out of bed. RIGHT NOW.

Flareup--professional sex worker (specializes in cute, fluffy, doting scenarios but will do anything that doesn't cause pain)

Starwave--OC, flier, professional sex worker (not sure of specialty, suggestions welcome)
Mirage--professional sex worker, former noble (Specializes in oral interfacing acts, will do anything if the payment is right)

Strika--crime lord (lady?), Jazz's closest ally in the underworld
Kup--brothel regular, Jazz's favorite client, military 4 lyfe

I need 9 more professionals to work at the brothel. (Not Drift, I have plans for him) Canon Faction is irrelevant, though Autobots are preferred. Starscream & Trine own/operate Jazz's closest competition.


I also need a few specific clients.

A Seeker (not Starscream & Trine) who would come to the bar & brothel to drink expensive Vosian blends and watch Jazz table dance.

A grounder who creepily fetishizes femmes.

A senator who would go "slumming" in a lower district brothel because he likes one of the workers, not for power. (Not Shockwave.)

A crime lord who would try to use Jazz's brothel against Strika

A few more regulars who might end up in the army once Megatron destroys Praxus

Someone (not Swindle) who will supply energon from several city-states away
