Creatures with haste can attack or use activated abilities with the <i class=\"ms ms-tap ms-cost\"><\/i>\u00a0or <i class=\"ms ms-tap ms-cost ms-untap\"><\/i>\u00a0symbol in the activation cost even if they have not been continuously controlled by a player since the beginning of that player&#8217;s most recent turn.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"crTitle\">From the\u00a0<i><a title=\"Comprehensive Rules\" href=\"https:\/\/mtg.fandom.com\/wiki\/Comprehensive_Rules\">Comprehensive Rules<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(November 8, 2024\u2014<i><a title=\"Edge of Eternities\" href=\"https:\/\/mtg.fandom.com\/wiki\/Edge_of_Eternities\">Edge of Eternities<\/a><\/i>)<\/p><ul><li><b>702.10.<\/b>\u00a0<strong class=\"mw-selflink selflink\">Haste<\/strong><ul><li><b>702.10a<\/b>\u00a0Haste is a static ability.<\/li><li><b>702.10b<\/b>\u00a0If a creature has haste, it can attack even if it hasn\u2019t been controlled by its controller continuously since their most recent turn began. (See rule 302.6.)<\/li><li><b>702.10c<\/b>\u00a0If a creature has haste, its controller can activate its activated abilities whose cost includes the tap symbol or the untap symbol even if that creature hasn\u2019t been controlled by that player continuously since their most recent turn began. (See rule 302.6.)<\/li><li><b>702.10d<\/b>\u00a0Multiple instances of haste on the same creature are redundant.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Haste removes the normal &#8220;cannot attack&#8221;\u00a0<a title=\"Restriction\" href=\"https:\/\/mtg.fandom.com\/wiki\/Restriction\">restriction<\/a>\u00a0due to not being controlled at the start of a player&#8217;s turn. It does not remove any other combat restrictions. href=\"https:\/\/mtg.fandom.com\/wiki\/R%26D\">R&amp;D<\/a>\u00a0explored the idea of putting haste on blue creatures with\u00a0<a title=\"Defender\" href=\"https:\/\/mtg.fandom.com\/wiki\/Defender\">Defender<\/a>\u00a0and 0 power, where the haste was about using the\u00a0<a title=\"Activated ability\" href=\"https:\/\/mtg.fandom.com\/wiki\/Activated_ability\">activated ability<\/a>\u00a0right away rather than attacking (<a class=\"ext-scryfall-cardname\" href=\"https:\/\/scryfall.com\/search?q=%21%22Bonded+Fetch%22&amp;utm_source=mw_MTGWiki\" data-card-name=\"Bonded Fetch\">Bonded Fetch<\/a>).<sup id=\"cite_ref-Future_8-0\" class=\"reference\"><a
