Rachel McAdams, Sydney Bristow S1-S4, Jennifer Garner, Doctor Who, and Sydney/Vaughn Mood Themes
File format: JPEG or PNG File size: 100x57 for the Rachel mood theme, 106x60 (or 106x59, depending on the source picture) for the Sydney mood theme, 90x50 for the Jen mood theme, 100x60 for the Doctor Who, and 90x52 for the Sydney/Vaughn mood theme.
(If any of the zips expire, just leave me a comment and I'll gladly reupload them.)
Instructions:
(These instructions are for the Rachel theme. Substitute "Sydney S1-S4" (or whichever mood theme you've downloaded) whenever a step calls for "Rachel" or "Rachel McAdams.")
1. Download the zip and upload the images to your own server (Photobucket is a popular choice).
2. Go to your admin console, type in the following, and click execute:
moodtheme_create "Rachel McAdams Mood Theme" "Created by edele"
3. If the attempt was successful, the console will spit out a number, which you will then post in the admin console code text file included in the zip. You will see something like this for each of the mood images:
Enter the number the admin console gave you where it says "themeID." Obviously you have to change every instance, and the easiest way to do that is the find/change feature in most word processing programs (i.e. ctrl or cmd + F brings up a window where you can search for all cases of "themeID" and replace it with your themeID number). Do not change anything else, as the rest of the code has already been prepared.
4. After you do this, go to your admin console again and copy and paste all the code in the text file. Once you do, the console will spit out a long list of all the code you entered, which means the attempt was successful.
5. You don't actually have to do this, but it happened when I created this mood theme. Basically, some wires got crossed and the image for "exhausted" was being used for "drained," and another image (can't remember which) was being used for something else. To fix this, I went into the Mood Theme Editor, clicked on "edit" for this particular mood theme, scrolled down the page and unchecked any boxes that were checked (i.e. one mood inherits a picture from a similar mood), and fixed the URLs (I changed the end of the URL to the correct jpg name: "exhausted.jpg" was changed to "drained.jpg").
It could have just been an LJ hiccup, as I've used the codes before and had no problems with them. However, it's probably a good idea to make sure none of the boxes are checked.
6. Go to Modify Journal and select this theme as your current mood theme, then click "save changes."
7. After you've completed all of the steps above, be sure to credit me in your userinfo. Something like "Rachel mood theme by edele" is perfect.
8. The most important step: enjoy!
I think that's everything. If you're still confused, check out this page, or comment here and I'll be glad to help.
