ABOUT ED CASE<\/h1>\nCongressman Ed Case represents Hawai\u2019i in the U. S. House of Representatives, where he serves on the Committee on Appropriations and in various caucus leadership positions. He earlier represented Hawai\u2019i in the House from 2002 to 2007, serving on the Committees on Budget, Small Business, Education and Agriculture.<\/p>\n
Ed Case represented Manoa in the Hawai\u2018i State House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002. He served in various capacities including Majority Leader and led efforts to reform government and politics.<\/p>\n
Case began in government as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Congressman and Senator Spark Matsunaga in Washington, D.C. He later served as law clerk to Hawaii Supreme Court Chief Justice William Richardson.<\/p>\n
He has worked in Hawaii\u2019s private sector for three decades. A lawyer, he practiced law with the Honolulu firms of Carlsmith Ball (serving as managing partner) and Bays Lung Rose & Holma (serving as managing attorney). Before his re-election to Congress in 2018, he served for five years as senior vice president and chief legal officer at Hawai\u2019i-born-and-raised Outrigger Hotels, where he received the Chief Executive Officer\u2019s Award for dedication and leadership.<\/p>\n

Ed was born and raised in Hilo, the fourth generation of his family in Hawai\u2018i. He attended Waiakea-Kai and Keaukaha Elementary Schools in Hilo and graduated from Hawai\u2018i Preparatory Academy (Kamuela), Williams College (Massachusetts) and University of California\/Hastings College of Law (San Francisco). He is married to Audrey Nakamura, his high school classmate and a retired United Airlines flight attendant.
