v3.1 [Sep 27, 2010]
The main changes that users of older versions of eBook Reader will notice in v3 are:
1. Carousel Display - in eBook Reader v3 a rotating carousel display can be used to navigate your eBook library instead of the content tree
2. Bookmarks - in previous versions your personal bookmarks were displayed in a small treeview control beneath the main content tree. In version 3 the bookmarks are incorporated into the main carousel navigation and can also be viewed in a full screen grid mode.
3. Book Title Search - from the carousel view you can quickly search for a book based on a word or a few letters in the title rather than having to navigate to the particular section that the book belongs to
4. Search - the previous version displayed search results in a split screen with search result details on the left hand side and a preview window showing the document on the right hand side. In version 3 the document preview appears as a separate pop-up window that can be resized and moved to the most convenient location for you.
5. Custom Zoom - you can now specify your own custom zoom level (between 10% and 1600%) when viewing an eBook
6. External Applications - some eBooks may now have other programs which can be installed along with the eBook. You will be able to launch these external applications from within eBook Reader.
