Miami Hotel Tour
I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove and this was the vibe.
This is my new lazy hotel series. Photo heavy, light on the words. Keep scrolling. You’re welcome.
I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove for two nights in July. It was a nice little escape from reality. Here are my thoughts:
Skip the restaurant and spa. Do stay for the pool, the bar, the airy common areas, and a cozy movie night in your room (I had a balcony with partial bay view on one side, overlooking the pool on the other). A fan of the bathtub and the Diptyque soaps and shampoos. Brunch seems to be more of a scene than dinner here, though I skipped brunch this time and went to my favorite little coffee shop instead (the owner’s wife makes these amazing cakes and a slice is worth every penny).
Back to the hotel: it’s bar, the Commodore, is running a summer reading series with Books & Books (through Sept. 21): order a cocktail from local mixologist Gio Gutiérrez, borrow the book it’s paired with while you sip, then drop it back off before heading out. Bonus: you’ll get 10% off your next Books & Books purchase — you can literally walk to the bookstore from the hotel. The whole setup is very “boozy bookworm,” and I loved it. Plus, the hotel’s in a walkable pocket (Chug’s, Grove Grocer, and the Wardrobe and More are just a few places to bookmark). I always love the Grove.

What’s the family owned restaurant where you love breakfast? 🥰
