इसलिए आपका PLAN FOLLOW नहीं होता!
Making a plan is quite easy for yourself and others but the following it is a challenge. In this post I will share few tricks that helps me to follow my plans and achieve my goals.
Hello Super Learner,
You may think Shubham how can you easily follow your plan it’s tough for me to follow my plans and even things are that worse now that I don’t feel like making plans anymore. So let me make it very clear at the very beginning that following a plan is not easy for me, I too face the issue that plans don’t work for me either. But what differentiates me from anyone else there is I don’t give up on that plan and move to the next. Instead, I started making the necessary changes to that plan as per the situation and need. And here is my very first tip for you.
1. Don’t Make a Static Plan
While making a plan consider that you are making it now as per the current situation and time and the situation may change in future so the plan needs the required changes. So always consider making a DYNAMIC plan instead of a static one. And by dynamic I mean that
Hum apne need ke hissab se apne plan mein changes karenge na ki hum plan ko change karenge.
2. Deadlines
I have noticed that many times I am unable to achieve my goals and follow my plans as I don’t have a DEADLINE assigned to it. This is seriously a big issue that while making a timetable or a plan we assume it to be forever and think mess up again and again. So going forward don’t make plans like “AAJ SE MEIN ROZ 5 GHANTE PADHUNGA” types. Be realistic to yourself and make your deadline as per need.
There is also a theory called Parkinson's Law which states work will expand to fill the time allotted for its completion.
In more technical terms - The demand for a resource tends to expand to match the supply of the resource (If the price is zero).
2. Use PAST data.
Many times we make plans just because we heard someone on YouTube, TV, etc. saying so and so. Now that was general advice for everyone it may or may not work for you. And since you are reading this long that also means that hadn’t worked for you! So I have a suggestion to make that I have learned over time with experience for making hundreds of unsuccessful plans. Don’t make plans without analyzing yourself. Let me make it more clear by giving an example.
Let’s assume I am a student of class 10 and am quite average at my studies. Mein kabhi kabhi padhai bhi kar leta hu 😂. Yeah this sounds funny but yehi sacch hai. Too maan lete hain ki mein average daily 20 se 25 min padhai karta hu and ab mere exam aane waale hain and mein serioulsy padhne ka plan banta hu ki ab se mein roz 4 hours padhunga.
Now how unrealistic is it that I don’t have a habit of studying for an hour daily and all of a sudden if I decide that I will study for 4 hours daily. I think that is not going to be helpful at all. And this plan is going to fail in the next 2 or 3 days even if the kid is 100 times motivated. Because motivation is not everything.
Momentum fuels motivation
In this case, we only have motivation no momentum. So try to build momentum first and then gradually increase the difficulty level (study time in the case of our example).
There are many more techniques and important learnings that I have learned over some time and I feel that It may help you if you are a student. Consider joining my live batches for FREE personal mentorship. You can also get only personal mentorship.
