What is Drop Zone?
Drop Zone is a knee-shaking, heart-pounding, adrenaline-pumping adventure that encourages you to get out of your comfort zone and face your fears by rappelling from the top of the tallest office building in Halifax – all in support of Nova Scotians living with disabilities.
Drop Zone is more than a thrill – it’s a lifeline for Camp Tidnish.
Funds raised through Drop Zone directly support Camp Tidnish, an inclusive overnight camp where individuals of all ages with disabilities experience independence, confidence, and belonging. For many campers, this is the one place they can fully participate, try new activities, and be themselves without barriers.
The cost of providing safe, accessible, and fully supported camp experiences continues to rise. Drop Zone helps ensure Camp Tidnish remains affordable for families, provides trained staff and adaptive equipment, and creates life-changing moments that campers carry with them long after summer ends. By supporting Drop Zone, you help make camp possible—and change lives, one brave rappel at a time.
How do I register?
Register as an individual or, better yet, create a team of superheroes and take the Drop Zone challenge with your friends, family, or colleagues and raise funds to help support our programs and services for people living with disabilities.
Individual: The minimum fundraising amount required to rappel is $1,500 per person.
Teams: A minimum of four people is required to be considered a team. The minimum amount required to rappel is $1,250 per team member or $5,000 per team of four. Every additional team member is $1,250.
A $100 registration fee is required to sign up and will be included in your fundraising total. You will receive a tax receipt for this donation, which can also be provided by the donor.
