One of the most oustanding shows I have ever had the pleasure to attend. This was one of the highlight of the whole Transmission gigs in The Olympia Theatre in August 1999. The Bad.
- My project is going [insert antonym of smoothly here].
- My period started today (if this is too much information for you, maybe you should think about the fact that you were birthed out of your mother's vagina).
- I have horrible cramps already :(.
- I'm pretty sure I'll have to come back from Toronto early (leaving on the 14th or so?)
- I'm just generally pissed off lately.
- I'm really worried about someone (god... cryptic!). I just love them a lot.
- The post-doc in the lab (a post-doc is someone who already has their PhD but is getting sort of like an after degree, I guess you could call it) is really pissing me off cause he's dumb (honestly) and so fucking goddamn lazy! ALL HE DOES IS TALK ABOUT PORN AND ASIAN GIRLS AND COMPUTERS AND DDR!

The Better... I Guess.
- The person I love seems to be doing OK. They're at least being rational, which is about 1035203957123092750397% better than I would be in the situation. It just proves how awe**** and amaz*** they are (bleeped out cause I'm not supposed to show fawning adoration of this person at the moment, but I really can't help it).
- A lot of people sent me their info for the xmas exchange, and hopefully I'll get to it this week, you guys (that should leave you with plenty of time to get stuff/plan a CD out).
- Not to be really shallow, but... my hair has been looking pretty good lately (I need to redo my blonde bits though).
- I've lost 42.5 pounds so far. This is pretty good, I guess.
- I bought the nicest shirt on Saturday.
- As a result of buying this shirt, I've noticed how out of control my cleavage is... which means I need to buy a new bra (OK, this should be in "the bad" but it kind of chronologically fits here). I hate buying underwear.
- I bought two new boots on Saturday (STFU Jess) and I love them a lot!

Things That Make Me Feel Better/Things I Take For Granted.
- I'm getting educated.
- I'll have my Masters in a year.
- Neuroscience is still fun and amazing.
- Spinal Cord Injury will one day be somewhat cured (god, stfu people, I'm trying to cheer myself up!)
- I get to go to Montreal in October (no matter what) and meet 3 researchers that I admire.
- I get to see the New Pornographers (again) and the Decemberists (again).
- I get to see M.I.A. in November!
- I get to see Jess again (and we get to see the Decemberists together!)
- I get to spend the whole (or most of) the next day with Jess and Will.
- I have a mother that spoils me a lot and cooks and cleans for me (STFU! I HAVE NO TIME TO DO THIS STUFF GOD!)
- I have the ability (but not really the time) to have 3 meals a day.
- I've got pocket money.
- I've got debt, but it is manageable.
- I've got shelter.
- I've got people I care about, even though they are many many many miles away.
- I've got awesome taste in music!
- Finally, I've got Morrissey.
- Also, I've taken to looking at pictures of someone that I know when I am sad. It's a boy, and I've met him before, but he pretty much doesn't really care about me, but that's all the information you're getting! It makes me feel a bit better for a short period of time. Probably the only person I would tell who this is to is Kylie... or maybe Jess!

For some reason there was like a toga party on campus. I saw about 30 people dressed up at around 9PM and then another 20 or so at around 11:30PM! So... it's freezing outside right now, yeah? And like, these girls are just wearing tank tops and shorts and bedsheets. How can you be so stupid while getting educated? I don't understand. Here's a bit of their conversation:

Dumb girl with blond hair: Yeah, so like, when I see people eating like fries and burgers and like, soda! I'm totally like "OMG YOU'RE GOING TO GET FAT!" That is like so unhealthy!
Dumb girl with brown hair: OH MY GOD! I KNOW! It's like! I only eat healthy fast food stuff like Subway and stuff! But oh my god! Sometimes! I eat like! burgers! But it's only like once every couple of days! And then I'll have ice cream!
Dumb girl with blond hair: Oh my god! Well, that's pretty good! But like, I don't exercise anymore cause like I don't like have time, you know?
Dumb girl with brown hair: Oh my god, I know! It's like, ugh, oh my god! I can feel my stomach getting bigger!

This would have gone on for longer except that these 5 or so drunk guys passed by as the three of us (dumb girls plus me (separately, of course) stepped outside! You know you're at a University at night when the collective IQ of everyone involved in a conversation barely makes it to borderline retarded.

I had the worst dream ever last night! Not like "lolz, that's so weird" bad, but like... just awful bad! Sort of like I want to punch myself for having a brain that is able to think up things like this.

Basically, I dreamt that I was having a (NON-LESBIAN... THNKUVRYMCH!) sleep-over with Kylie and these two other girls. I convinced Kylie SORT OF a la In The Company Of Men that it would be hi-larious if we drugged the two girls (WTF?) and got these two guys we knew to rape them. Yeah... pretty funny. Anyway, the dream ended in all of us going to the police station and the girls not really remembering what happened, but both being pregnant (I guess it was weeks later?) and Kylie and I had come to our senses, I guess, and we were racing to tell on eachother! I hate when I have dreams like that. I hate that I can't control them ;________; Ugh, that was a bad one.

It's 10PM and I feel like snoozin'! Which I will do shortly (after LJin'!)

OK, so today was pretty lame! I went to work (with my sister) and this stupid bridal party came in, and they were all thinking the price for the party would be $550 for hair and makeup (WHICH IS UNBELIEVABLY CHEAP, FYI!). They said that one of the stylists told them that it would be $550 for hair AND makeup as long as he did the makeup. This is a lie, but for the sake of argument, let's say this is true. They didn't get their makeup done with him! A girl from MAC came and did it! Yes, she did it in the salon, but she still doesn't have anything to do with the salon! She doesn't give the salon commission! She just WORKS FOR MAC! NOT ITONICA! Anyway, so I guess the makeup ended up costing $400 for all of them, and the hair was supposed to be $360 and she like flipped out cause it was $200 or so more than the "package deal" she was told about! I tried to explain everything to her, but she was pretty much refusing to pay the full bill. Y'know, if you want to pay $500 or less to get your hair and makeup done, go to Cut6 or Supercuts, OK? Don't come to a nice salon! She eventually paid for everything, but she didn't leave a tip! Classy! Also, she was ugly, and I hope her daughter gets a divorce and/or lives a horribly unhappy married life!

After that, I met up with a friend from Calgary. God, I love him and his girlfriend! They are my favourite people ever! I wish they didn't live so far away! I forgot how much he makes me laugh! Ughhhhhhh, I miss him already ;_;! We went to blackbyrd music, and the hottie hot hot guy that works there was working there! God, he is so hot! And he doesn't like the arcade fire ;_; Wait, those are pretty much tears of joy and/or frustration at how much of a hottie he is! Ummmmmm, so I bought a 90 day men cd and the new new pornographers cd. And he gave me some moneys off! Like, fo sho! Cause the 90 day men cd was supposed to be $11 plus tax, and he ended up charging me $10 including tax! So it's not like I got a huge deal, but he did charge me less! And I thought maybe he charged me less accidentally, but on my way out, I forgot that I didn't have the new new pornographers (god! that's annoying to say!) so i went to get that and he gave me a deal on that as well! I'm not saying he's interested or anything (god, why would he be? he's a hottie and i'm... ughhhhh i won't complete this thought...) but at least he notices me when i come in, and realises i'm in a lot and stuff? god, i don't know! the fact that he knows i exist is pretty sweet! i know he likes vitalic and porn sword tobacco so that's pretty sweet! maybe i'll introduce myself next time i'm at the store? or is that lame? god, it's probably lame... ok, i'll just go back to not ever talking to anyone ever!

Oh, but I forgot something really funny! After we left the CD store, my friend bought some crap rap albums like 2pac and d12 and shit! And he had them like between his legs as he was driving! So then I was like "WTF R U DOIN THAT 4?" and he was like "I'm getting friendly with 2pac" and then he started simulating sex with the CD covers whilst driving! And then he turned his hat sideways, pointed his fingers in the shape of a gun and went "bap bap bap bap bapppppp" to the car next to us! OH MY GOD I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD! GOD I SRSLY MISS HIM SO MUCH ALREADY ;_;

So now that things are OK, I seriously want to SPREAD THE LUV each chance I get!

So, remember how I asked people if they'd want to do a CD exchange? Well, eat_your_cancer suggested the greatest thing ever! And, I'm stealing twofortuesdays xmas gift exchange idea as well! So... here's what I'm suggesting!

I know it's a bit early, but I think it would be SO MUCH FUN if everyone who answered that poll a few entries down would:
1. Trade a CD with someone else
2. Buy a small ($10ish) gift for someone else

Now... who would be willing to do THAT? This would be for CHRISTMAS, so it's still many months away! Two people are unable to make CDs so I will make two mix CDs for the people who will receive gifts from those two (if they still want to participate). C'mooooooooooon Christmas is SO FAR AWAY! oh man
the last 30ish hours have been the worst of my entire life. honestly, i didn't eat for almost 30 hours! like nothing! for a fatty like me, that's amazing! also (probably more amazing) is the fact that i couldn't even listen to music in that whole time. i just sat and cried and slept and cried. my eyes hurt like a motherfucker!

pretty much i can't tell you guys what it was about (lame, i know) but it's (hopefully) all over now. it had to do with work, and me being a complete incompetent fool... so, y'know... nothing out of the ordinary. i ate a sammich at tim horton's and a muffin and an iced cappucino, and now i kind of feel like throwing up, but hopefully i won't (note: having incredibly fatty coffee drinks after not eating for a long time = not a good idea).

there's a position available for a project coordinator for a lesbian/gay/bi/transgendered youth group and... i'm going to apply! if i don't end up getting it, i'm going to see if i can volunteer, cause there's nothing worst than being a sexual minority in alberta... trust me. NOTHING! oh poo :( looks like i won't be getting the job after all (won't even be applying) seeing as how you need to be available during daytime hours, and i am not.

sorry for all lowercase (mostly) today guys. i just had a rough couple of days. i'm so glad this is mostly over. god, sorry sorry i must be annoying the shit out of the few people who are reading this!

also, i just want to publicly declare that pygmalism is the most amazing person i have ever known in my life. the end.

Since there's so many of you on my flist who are really into music, how would you guys feel about doing some mixtape/mixcd exchange? You'd all have to give me your addresses though (that sounds stalkery... CAUSE IT IS! LOLZ!) and then I'd organise who gets to exchange with who! We did that on coachella when I was going to coachella, and it was fun, except everyone had to send out the same mixcd to everyone (that was like 15 cds, which was a bit much!). Unless you guys think that would be better?!

Another thing we could do is every week someone new makes a mix cd, and we could make a community out of that. What do you guys think? Would you take part??!?!? I mean, my muzak blog is pretty much never going to be updated cause I'm gay, but I think I'd actually do this (cause it's part of LJ and LJ is kewl!)

Ugh, so today I went to go see my friend's play (I ran into her 2 days ago (we haven't talked in AAAAAAAAGES) and she asked me to come so we could "catch up" and stuff!) and I got there at 9:33, and the show started at 9:30, suposedly, and I wasn't allowed in! GOODTIMES! So, I'm either going to go tomorrow (at like 2pm? - I have NOTHING TO DO IN THE LAB TOMORROWZ! :() or Thursday at 9:30PM!

I emailed another prof about meeting up in Montreal and they said "hellz yeah" to me as well! That makes 2 profs! I'm pretty pumped! This one even asked for my CV (basically a resume) and two letters of reference! Neat, huh? I'm so excited I could just about burst at the seams!

Speaking of bursting, I fit into a size of clothing, today, that I haven't fit into in like 5 years! I guess it's the opposite of bursting! And it's pretty grande!

Two people told me that I look "great" in the past two days. Of course, those two people were womynz. W/E.

Today at Superstore, I'm pretty sure the cashier was FLIRTING WITH ME! WTFFFFFFFF?! He was like "heyyyyyyyyy! you forgot the "1" at the end of your code for raisins!" and made this highly exaggerated sigh! I was like "*giggle* SORRY!" and he's like "well, you're lucky i know what i'm doing!" or something gay! And I just wanted to ask "just so I know, is this what flirting is like?" but I didn't ask, so I guess I'll never know, but I'm pretty sure that was flirting... He was like 16, so give him a break, OK?

Did I tell you guys I got my iAudio in the mail? OK, it's really great! I bought a cover for it already, and so I'm basically all iaudio'd up! I just can't seem to love it any more than I already do! The gap between songs is SO SHORT that listening to In The Aeroplane actually isn't painful! The radio feature is nice, but it doesn't pick up the university station, unfortunately! The video feature is just... wow! It looks really fucking great! I just need to figure out how to get all of Morrissey's videos on there! It's only a 30GB player, but I've put all my favourite albums on there, and I've still got 10GB free! It helps that I only listen to NMH and MIA, right?

And, you can make playlists on the fly! That's sort of... amazong! The only complaint I have is that, you can't search for songs, or artists or albums or genres! Like, you have to organize all your files yourself, because it's basically just a harddisk! So, I do mine like: Artist --> Album --> Tracks. But, there's no spot for genre, which is gay! And also, some of my files are unorganized, so they're just in the main MUSIC folder, which is also gay! And imagine people who don't organise any of their files! Everything would be so random! It would be like a huge ipod shuffle! Lame!

I don't know why I don't really update that much anymore... I think I'm just getting SO SICK of this username! I'm really looking forward to mid october when this account runs out and I can move to funiculus! And, at that time, if any of you are like "zomg, my chance has come at last" you can definitely defriend me! I'm not ASKING people to do so, I'm just saying: life is short, LJ is not srs bizness, so just defriend, or friend or w/e!
