“No,” the Doctor said with a sigh. “Can’t go to New Bergenhooff. Pity, Rose would’ve liked it there.”
“So why can’t we go then?” Rose frowned at the Doctor; this was the first time he’d said no to any suggestions.
“Got a warrant out for my arrest there.”
Jack laughed. “What did you do?”
“Nothing. It’s what I’m accused of that’s the problem, not what I did.”
“What was the accusation?”
“That I stole the central jewel from the royal crown. But I didn’t.”
“Who did?” Rose leaned forward.
“Nobody. It stole itself, turned into a bird and flew away.”
