“Do you even know how to fly this thing?” Amy demanded, clinging to one of the seats in the cockpit as the small spacecraft bucked and shuddered.
“Not yet, but I’ll figure it out.”
“Before or after we crash?”
“Anyone would think you don’t trust me.”
At that moment, Amy didn’t, but she avoided the question. “Doesn’t it have an autopilot or something?”
“Doesn’t need one. These have living pilots.”
“So why aren’t they doing their job?”
The Doctor pointed at something crumpled by the bulkhead. “Dead. Now be quiet while I figure out how to keep us from crashing.
