DVDStyler Überblick
DVDStyler ist eine plattformübergreifende, kostenlose DVD-Authoring-Anwendung zur Erstellung professionell aussehender DVDs. Es ermöglicht nicht nur das Brennen von Videodateien auf DVDs, die praktisch auf jedem Standalone-DVD-Player abgespielt werden können, sondern auch die Erstellung individuell gestalteter DVD-Menüs. Es ist Open Source Software und völlig kostenlos.

It doesn't work on my iMac (4.2/Quad/i7/Ventura/40g ram).
It's fairly easy to use... but it's completely quit 10 times at different points in the organizing part of the work. Tried mp4, m2V, mpeg files... no luck with any of them.
Even when I saved as I worked, when I re-opened, it did not save any of what I'd done.

DVDStyler makes the job and it's free !
I can read the DVD's on my external Panasonic DVD Player without issue.
It's no so easy as other applications, but there are many options and there is a good documentation on the site.
Look and feel is maybe 'old fashioned' but i'm also 'old fashioned' ;-)
I tested some other app's: the good one's are too expensive for similar efficiency...
(fyi, i'using and iMac under El Capitan 10 11 6)

Well it took the developer(s) three tries to get DVDStyler 2.9.x working properly under Yosemite, but this version IS ready for prime time, but with a couple of caveats: The crashing Font bug still exists, and I doubt they'll ever fix it. And remember, this is an unsigned app, so you need to right-click > Open the first time you run it.

DVDStyler 2.9 just came out. It is not ready for prime time. DON'T DOWNLOAD IT! They broke the transcoding function. It spins its wheels forever, producing thousands upon thousands of "buffer underflow" messages.
This 3-star review is for DVDStyler 2.8.1. As a freebie low-end DVD creator, it can't be beat. It can produce a 3-hour DVD in less than 30 minutes. If you want more sophisticated features in your DVD, you must tinker with the dvd.dvds file, not very easy but learnable.
One warning though: If you want to change the menu font settings, this application will crash every time. This bug never seems to get fixed, and it probably has something to do with cross- compiling the application for Windows/Linux/OS X. You can change the menu fonts by tinkering with the aforementioned dvd.dvds file.
