\nA pest is
\nany living organism, whether animal or plant which is troublesome to plants or
\nanimals, human, livestock, or human structures. When a pest is present in the
\nhouse, it is referred to as a household pest. Examples of household pests
\ninclude rats, bed bugs, flea, mosquitoes, ticks, etc.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nSome common household pests and the associated
\ndangers<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\n1.   
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Mice<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\nA mice is a common household pests in most rural
\nareas, but they are by far one of the worst offenders when it comes to health
\nrisks. They contaminate the kitchen. Mice constantly dribble urine, meaning any
\nsurface they come into contact with instantly becomes contaminated. <\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n2.   
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Cockroaches<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\nCockroaches live in sewer environments and come up
\ninto homes in search of food and warmth. While they scuttle about your
\ncountertops and kitchen cupboards they are leaving behind bacteria, parasites
\nand pathogens, all of which can affect humans.<\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n3.   
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Bed Bugs<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\nBed bugs bites cause rashes, scars and lesions, but
\nthey can have serious psychological effects. Infestations are very hard to get
\nrid of and can take a long time to destroy, causing people to sleep in an
\nitchy, pest-ridden bed for extended periods of time. The result of the bed with
\nthese bugs can cause anxiety, stress, sleep deprivation and depression. Not
\nonly does it cause these psychological problems, but these bugs push their
\nhosts to do whatever it takes to get rid of them. This often leads to property
\ndamage and inhalation of dangerous chemicals use in order to get rid of them. <\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n4.   
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Fleas<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\nFleas are flightless, tiny blood suckers will
\nattach themselves to anything living, including humans. While their bites can
\ngive you an allergic reaction, and even cause a severe and dangerous side if
\naccidentally swallowed. Although this is rare, mostly occurring in children,
\nthe fact they are so small means it is easy for them to be swallowed. The
\nresult of swallowing these insects is a far more disturbing and harmful
\ninfestation.<\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Rats<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\nRats have powerful teeth and can gnaw their way
\nthrough pretty much anything, allowing them to reach food and water supplies resulting
\nin contamination. Rats faeces  <\/span>and urine
\ncan also spread numerous diseases such as lassa fever,  <\/span>a debilitating illness that causes liver,
\nkidney and heart problems. Being a larger pest than most, rats also have more
\naggressive tendencies and are more likely to bite and scratch humans, which
\ncould result in other infections such as rat-bite fever.<\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Eliminate household pests entry points to the
\nhouse. Close cracks and crevices, especially around water pipes and windows.
\nSeal or repair openings on the exterior of the house. Inspect plants and food
\nproducts for infestations before you bring them into your house.<\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Eliminate 
\n<\/span>all household pests sources of food, water, and shelter. Dispose of food
\nwaste in sealed plastic bags, or in containers that have snap-on lids. Empty
\ngarbage on a weekly basis or more often. Don\u2019t allow food to remain in the
\ngarbage disposal overnight. Store bulk foods in sealed containers. Keep pantry
\nand cabinet shelves, toasters, and couch cushions \u201ccrumb-free<\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Remove pet food and water bowls from the floor at
\nnight, especially if cockroaches are problem. Discard overripe fruits, onions,
\nand potatoes to control fruit flies and fungus beetles. Also, remove bird nests
\nfrom your house. <\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Eliminate or disrupt the habitat where a pest
\nresides. Store wood away from the house because it can harbor termites and
\nother pests. Remove debris and fallen leaves near foundations and limbs that
\ntouch the house. <\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Use traps to capture insects and rodents.<\/span><\/div>\n

\ninsecticides that are less hazardous to human which adequate direction for
