Coffee Development Fund (CoDF) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture vested with the responsibility of providing sustainable and affordable credit to coffee farmers.<\/p>\n
The Fund invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant position:<\/p>\n
The Public Relations Officer shall Report to the Managing Trustee.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Design and implement the CoDF\u2019s communication strategy, publicity plan and marketing activities;
\n\u2022 Marketing of the CoDF products and services;
\n\u2022 Prepare and disseminate various publicity materials;
\n\u2022 Liaise with the media to publicize CoDF activities and maintain positive media relations;
\n\u2022 Organize and manage CoDF corporate events;
\n\u2022 Oversee the effective management of the customer care desk;
\n\u2022 Promote the Fund\u2019s vision and mission in liaison with stakeholders to create a positive organizational image;
\n\u2022 Handle queries in respect of CoDF from the general public, media, special interest groups etc;
\n\u2022 implement the Fund\u2019s social and corporate responsibility activities; and
\n\u2022 Perform any other duties assigned by the Managing Trustee.<\/p>\n
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:
\n\u2022 A Bachelors Degree in Communication or equivalent.
\n\u2022 A post-graduate Diploma in Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing will be an added advantage.
\n\u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills
\n\u2022 Computer literacy and the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
\n\u2022 At least four years practical experience in public relations, marketing and customer services in a busy organization.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be employed on a 3 – year renewable contract.<\/p>\n
