1. Internal Auditor
\nIA 01\/2011
\nReporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties;
\n\u2022 Carry out risk and management analysis within the Society
\n\u2022 Appraise the Society\u2019s compliance to the laid down internal Controls and procedures, statutory requirements and Stakeholder regulations
\n\u2022 Assess adequacy of internal operations procedures and advise the management accordingly.
\n\u2022 Prepare quarterly annual audit reports for management appraisal<\/p>\n
Qualifications Required:
\nThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
\n\u2022 Bachelor of Commerce degree or a Business related degree from a recognized university.
\n\u2022 CPA(K) or ACCA
\n\u2022 Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya
\n\u2022 CISA qualifications will have an added advantage
\n\u2022 Minimum 5 years experience in a busy computerized deposit taking business
\n\u2022 Proficiency in Computer applications especially in accounting packages and Systems.
\n\u2022 Superior Knowledge of the regulatory framework of the Co-operative Sector and Internal Auditing Standards
\n\u2022 Age 30-40 years of Age.<\/p>\n
2. Assistant Accountant
\nAA 02\/ 2011
\nReporting to the Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties;
\n\u2022 Carrying out reconciliation for the Society ledger and suspense accounts
\n\u2022 Timely preparation of pay roll and submission of statutory returns deducted
\n\u2022 Assist in generation and compilation of SASRA returns for submission
\n\u2022 Carrying out book keeping duties of the Society
\n\u2022 Preparation of management accounts and generation of reports as required by the management<\/p>\n
Qualifications Required:
\nThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
\n\u2022 CPA part 2
\n\u2022 Diploma in Co-operative management
\n\u2022 Minimum 3 years experience in Co-operative movement
\n\u2022 Knowledge of the regulatory framework of the Co-operative Sector and Internal Auditing Standards
\n\u2022 Age 30-40 years of Age.<\/p>\n
