1. Pharmaceutical Technologist (ARP)<\/p>\n
Purpose: To manage the ART pharmacy, and coordinate all activities of stock and inventory management pertaining to HIV\/AIDS drugs for the AIDS Relief program.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities:
\n\u2022 Ensure good store keeping for pharmacy drugs
\n\u2022 Prepare and manage pharmacy inventory in conjunction with the ART project coordinator
\n\u2022 Be part of clinical eligibility committee to set and periodically evaluate annual department goals
\n\u2022 Develop, review, and regularly update the standard operating procedures, manual for administration and distribution of ARVs
\n\u2022 Review with medical staff and update regularly the hospital drug formulary for Art project
\n\u2022 Give the ART clinical team updates of the availability of drugs
\n\u2022 Orientate new pharmacy staff members
\n\u2022 Following appropriate education and participate in counseling of patients taking ARVs in order to promote compliance with prescribed regimen
\n\u2022 Dispense ARVs and OI drugs to patients in the Art program
\n\u2022 Preparation of monthly pharmacy reports to CRS
\n\u2022 Perform any reasonable work related duties as may be assigned by the project coordinator
\n\u2022 Member of the pharmacy and CCC team
\nCoordinates with: Members of the ART program, pharmacy staff and other staff<\/p>\n
Minimum Acceptable qualifications:
\n\u2022 Diploma in pharmacy from K.M.T.C or equivalent with at least two years experience
\n\u2022 Computer skills in windows, Microsoft word, excel, outlook and access
\n\u2022 Communication skills
\n\u2022 Training in ART or effective commodity management; or previous experience working in an ART program would be an added advantage<\/p>\n
2. Project Data Management Officer
\nDepartment: Monitoring and evaluation<\/p>\n
Purpose: to be involved in the process of data analysis and use of data in order to generate accurate data and statistics<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities:
\n\u2022 Collect and tally required data related to a project providing antiretroviral therapy through daily data update on the Iqcare system
\n\u2022 Data validation on Iqcare and excel register sheets
\n\u2022 Preparing of CDC quarterly report which is sent to Constella Futures
\n\u2022 Regular data verification
\n\u2022 Timely reporting of defaulters to the social worker on daily basis
\n\u2022 Daily update of excel register sheets for patient regimen, CD4 and return dates
\n\u2022 Involved as a lead member in the CQI committee
\n\u2022 Make orders for medical forms used in the project i.e. Social demographic forms, initial evaluation forms, follow up forms, home visit forms, pharmacy forms and lab forms
\n\u2022 Prepare and make reports to CRS Nairobi on both monthly and quarterly basis
\n\u2022 In collaboration with clinicians, pharmacist, assist in tracing of clients\u2019 files through the use of computer
\n\u2022 Prepare and make reports to NASCOP on a monthly basis
\n\u2022 Attend and actively represent the project and hospital in seminars\/meetings involving partners and stakeholders or the government.<\/p>\n
Minimum Acceptable qualifications:
\n\u2022 Diploma in Computer Science\/related course or equivalent with at least two years experience in related field.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of relational database management systems such as STATA, MySQL or MS Access, would be advantageous.
\n\u2022 Excellent skills in Data Analysis
\n\u2022 Excellent Communication skills<\/p>\n
