Infrastructure Support Engineer
\nReporting to the infrastructure Systems Engineer, the Infrastructure Support Engineer will be responsible for:
\n\u2022 Telecom & Networking fundamentals, Unix Administration, Trouble shooting skills for applications\/Interfaces \/DBs, Carrying out routine Ops activities & checklists.
\n\u2022 Understanding the process tables and how to stop\/ start processes and Awareness of VAS Services, Call flows, GSM, SS7, and clustering fundamentals.
\n\u2022 Understanding of disk systems (such as Mirroring and RAID) and Liaising directly with customers on service requests or problems.
\n\u2022 Ensuring understanding of business impact associated with problems and keeping the customer informed as part of the resolution process.
\n\u2022 Retaining ownership of customer issues until resolved, escalated or accepted by another individual.<\/p>\n
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
\n\u2022 Graduate or Diploma
\n\u2022 2-5 Yrs Support in Technical Service\/ Customer care environment
\n\u2022 Good knowledge and experience in Microsoft Active Domain and Exchange networks.
\n\u2022 Good analytical skills.
\n\u2022 Good oral and written Communication skills – Written & Oral
\n\u2022 Experience in customer relationship management.
\n\u2022 Ability to work with minimum supervision.
\n\u2022 Project management skills<\/p>\n
Application Support Engineer
\nReporting to the infrastructure Systems Engineer, the Application Support Engineer will be responsible for:
\n\u2022 Understanding of the OS & UNIX Command tools and application of system patches and change kernels under – Awareness of clustering fundamentals Administration
\n\u2022 Utilizing of remote access software available on customer networks to remotely control servers and understanding data movement utilities and file permissions
\n\u2022 Adding of users to local systems using available administration tools File and File Systems Mount\/ dismount file systems, System Processes, understanding of process tables and how to stop and start processes.
\n\u2022 Understanding and acceptance of the requirement for physical and virtual security within the UNIX environment. Awareness of security classifications and policies Scripting- Understanding of the various types of scripts and the commands used
\n\u2022 Writing and modifying basic shell scripts monitoring major processes as well as regular monitoring and reporting.
\n\u2022 Understanding of Storage, Management of disk systems and utilizing array tools to allocate LUN’s on some arrays – Solid understanding of storage, including SAN
\n\u2022 Security- Ability to install\/configure security tools in the Unix environment
\n\u2022 Scripting & use of complex commands AWK and SED9. As well as monitoring and reporting using the standard tools.<\/p>\n
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
\n\u2022 Graduate or Diploma
