{"id":16485,"date":"2011-03-31T11:07:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-31T10:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dutable.com\/2011\/03\/31\/assistant-registrar-administration\/"},"modified":"2026-03-26T12:14:56","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T11:14:56","slug":"assistant-registrar-administration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dutable.com\/assistant-registrar-administration\/","title":{"rendered":"Assistant Registrar (Administration, Planning and Development) Job Vacancy in Kenya &#8211; Inoorero University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IU wishes to recruit a mature, committed and self driven individual for the position of Assistant Registrar (Administration, Planning and Development)<\/p>\n<p>Overall Purpose of the position:<br \/>\nEffective and efficient coordination of administrative, planning and development activities and ensuring efficient utilisation of the University\u2019s infrastructure and physical facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordination of the preparation and implementation of the strategic plan by providing administrative support to the Deputy Vice Chancellor-Administration Planning, Development (DVC-APD).<br \/>\n\u2022 In liaison with supervisor, prepare the administration strategic plan and budget and implement the same<br \/>\n\u2022 Appraise performance of staff under officer\u2019s supervision, identify their training needs and develop as appropriate<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate and manage the maintenance and efficient use of the University facilities.<br \/>\n\u2022 Supervise all physical works and renovations in the University.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure efficient utilisation of resources by enforcing policies and procedures to reduce costs, damages and wastage.<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage relevant outsourced services on behalf of the University to ensure they meet the Universities expectations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Allocation of space to ensure optimal accommodation of all IU needs<br \/>\n\u2022 Servicing the relevant University committees and meetings including taking minute on behalf of the DVC-APD.<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage University vehicles and outsourced transport to meet IU transport needs<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate security and safety operations in the University premises<\/p>\n<p>Educational Qualifications and Professional Qualifications<br \/>\n\u2022 Bachelors degree in Business Administration or business related area<br \/>\n\u2022 Certified Public Secretary \u2013 Kenya (CPS).<br \/>\n\u2022 Computer literacy<\/p>\n<p>Working Experience<br \/>\n\u2022 3 Years experience in Administration and Management.<br \/>\nTechnical Skills\/Competencies:<br \/>\n\u2022 Strategic mindset and ability to put emerging issues in the context of the University mission, vision and strategy<br \/>\n\u2022 Leadership and team management skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Project management skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Negotiation skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Good interpersonal and communication skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Budgeting Skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Proactive, initiative and good facilitation skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Planning and organizational skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Good attitude.<\/p>\n<p>How to Apply<br \/>\nYou may apply by emailing your CV and application letter to recruitment@iu.ac.ke<br \/>\nPlease note that no paper applications will be considered.<br \/>\nOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<br \/>\nIU is an equal opportunity employer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IU wishes to recruit a mature, committed and self driven individual for the position of Assistant Registrar (Administration, Planning and Development) Overall Purpose of the position: Effective and efficient coordination of administrative, planning and development activities and ensuring efficient utilisation of the University\u2019s infrastructure and physical facilities.
