How do I register in to the support portal of Dropsolid?

To get started, you will need to set up your account. 
You only need to complete this registration process once. 

If you require completely new access, a contact person within the company who already has access must submit the request on your behalf. Only existing, authorised users can submit new access requests.
Once we have obtained approval from a colleague, we will add the correct email address.

The following steps can then be taken:

Step 1: Go to the support portal

  1. Go to https://dropsolid.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals
  2. Here you can use your email address to set a password.
    To do this, enter your email address when this is requested.

  3. After entering your email address, you are asked for a password.
    In this step, you can request a new password by clicking Reset password.
    You will get a confirmation message that a password reset email was sent to your email address.

 Step 2: Set your password

  1. You will receive an email with a link that allows you to set your pasword.

  2. After clicking the link, you will be taken to a page that allows you to set your password. This page will guide you through setting a strong password, to ensure your account is properly protected.

Once you have set your password, you will be redirected to the main page of our customer portal. TIP: bookmark this page for future access:

How do I add a new support ticket myself?

The portal is your central hub for creating, viewing, and managing all your support and service requests with Dropsolid.

Step 1: Go to the Portal

Navigate to the portal URL mentioned above. You will see a clean interface with different categories of requests you can make.

Step 2: Choose the Correct Request Type

This is the most important step! Requests are organized into groups (like "Report a problem" or "General") to help you find what you need quickly. First, you'll choose the group that best fits your request, and then you'll select the specific request type within that group.

Choosing the correct group and type ensures your issue is immediately routed to the right team of experts, which helps us resolve it much faster.

Example:

  • You might first click on the "Report a Problem" group.
  • Then, inside that group, you would select the specific "Report a bug or an issue" request type.

We are continuously working to improve your experience. In the future, we will expand these request groups and types to make creating a ticket even easier and to ensure we can help you as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Step 3: Fill in the Details

Each request form contains questions tailored to gather the information we most commonly need to resolve that specific type of request. The more detailed and accurate your information, the faster we can help.

As you type in the Summary field, the system may suggest helpful articles from our knowledge base that could provide an immediate solution. This knowledge base will be expanded over time based on incoming requests.

There will almost always be room for additional information in the Description field (or another text field) if you have more context to share.

Please include:

  • A clear and concise summary in the Summary field.
  • Detailed steps to reproduce the issue in the Description.
  • Any relevant links (URLs) where the issue is occurring.
  • Attachments like screenshots, error messages, or videos.
  • Action: Fill out the form as completely as possible and click Send or Create.

Step 4: Track Your Request

After submitting, you can track the status of your request, view comments from our team, and add your own replies directly within the portal. You will also receive email notifications whenever your ticket is updated or receives a reply, so you're always kept in the loop.

What is Recaptcha?

ReCAPTCHA is a CAPTCHA system that allows web hosts to distinguish between human and automatic access to websites.

If you experience a lot of spam in your mailbox or you want to secure your contact forms better, we recommend the reCAPTCHA module. 

How do I use reCAPTCHA?

In order for the reCAPTCHA spam protection to function correctly on your website, you need to request the correct keys. This is how you do it:

  1. Log in with your Google-account 
    (Already have a Google Analytics account? You can use the same login details)

  2. Surf to https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create
  3. Add your website via ‘Register a new site
    1. Label: website.be 
      Enter the name of your website
    2. Type of reCAPTCHA: reCAPTCHA V2
    3. Domains: enter all domain names where your website appears (without HTTP://) 
      Also add the .dev and the .staging domain names. Not entirely sure? Request them via support@dropsolid.com

What is Google Tag Manager?

Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows you to easily add and remove tags from your website yourself, without the intervention of a developer. Each tag is a piece of code from another program that measures events on your website. Examples are tags from Google Ads, Google Analytics and Floodlight. 

How do I install Google Tag Manager?

  1. Surf to tagmanager.google.com and make an account.
    You can also log in to an existing account.
  2. A new container will be created by default, and you can easily create additional containers. 
  3. Install the container on your website
    Add the container frame following Tag Manager's instructions and remove existing tags. 
  4. Add your tags and publish them. 

Note: a Tag Manager account is the highest organizational level. Usually only one account per company is needed. This account contains one or more containers. There are specific container types used for websites, AMP pages, Android apps and iOS apps. 

How do I make a new account and add a container?

  1. Click on 'Accounts' → 'Create account' in Tag Manager 
  2. Enter an account name 
  3. Enter a descriptive container name 
  4. Select the content type: web, AMP, Android or iOS. 
  5. Click on 'Create
  6. Read the terms and conditions and click 'Yes', if you agree to those terms.
  7. When your new container loads for the first time, it will ask for the code snippet for installing the web container. Install the code snippet immediately or click 'OK' to close the dialog box. You can always first set up your container and install the container snippet later. 
     

How to add a new container to an existing account?

  1. Click 'Accounts' next to the appropriate account name in Tag Manager 
  2. Choose 'Create container'
  3. Enter a descriptive container name 
  4. Select the content type: web, AMP, Android or iOS 
  5. Click on 'Create
  6. Read the terms and conditions and click 'Yes', if you agree to those terms.
  7. Important: please also add analytics@dropsolid.com as admin of the container, so we can help you easily and quickly.

How do I find my Google Analytics ID?

  1.  Log in to your Google Analytics account and go to the homepage. You do this by clicking on the Google Analytics logo on the upper left.

  1. Make sure you're logged in to Google Analytics.
  2. Click on the bottom left in the menu on 'Admin'.

    1. Click on the plus and click on 'Add new user'.

How do I put my business visually on my website?

Google Maps is the perfect way to visually display your business location on your website. The location of your business will have a pin on the map. This pin should be in exactly the right place. To do this, you need to request the right keys via your Google account. 
 

How do I add Google Maps to my website?

  1. Surf to https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform.
  2. Click on 'Get started'.

  3. A pop-up window will appear, check all three checkboxes and click 'Continue'.

  4. Sign in to your Google account.
    1. Not signed in yet? Then do so in the next step.
    2. Are you already logged in? Then this step will be skipped automatically. 
  5. Enter your project name and click 'Next'.

  6. Enter your billing information to use your free account.
    1. For your information: Each account gets $200 usage per month for free. This is normally sufficient for a basic website.

  7. You will now see the API key appear. Copy this key and pass it on to your Dropsolid contact or via support@dropsolid.com.
    1. Note: deliver this key in plain text, not in a screenshot.
  8. Surf to the Google Platform via https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/library and enable the following:
    1. Maps Javascript API
    2. Geocoding API

How to add a map with multiple addresses?

  1. Make sure you're logged into Google.
  2. Go to Google Maps. 
  3. Click on the top right on the hamburger menu (the three horizontal lines) to open the menu in Google Maps.
  4. Click on "My places" in the menu.
  5. Click on 'Maps'. 
  6. Click at the bottom on 'Make map'. A new tab opens automatically. This is where you put your map together. 
  7. Type in the search bar the address of the location you want to add to the map. 
    1. When the address has a green pin, you click 'add to map'. The location is now added to your map. 
    2. To add the next location, type again an address in the search bar. Click on 'Add to map'. 
    3. This way, you can add as many locations as you want to your map.
  8. You change the name of your map by clicking on the three dots 'Nameless layer'. Next, you select 'Change name of layer'. 
  9. When you've added all of your locations, share them by clicking on 'Share' in the menu. You name the map and give a description if desired. 
    1. In the 'Sharing'-window, change the access so everyone can see the map. 
    2. Go to 'Who has access', click on 'Change...' and select 'On, public on the internet'. 
  10. Last, you have to copy the code to add the map to your website.
    1. Click in the menu on the three dots. Next, click on 'Include on my site'. 
    2. Copy the code that appears, and add it to your website.
