PERIMENOPAUSE PROGRAM
HORMONE BALANCE PROGRAM

The care your hormones deservefinally.

I'm Dr. Kathleen Mahannah, ND, MSCP. I'm a licensed Naturopathic Physician and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner in North Vancouver. My practice is focused on helping women navigate perimenopause and menopause with the training, time and attention this stage of life deserves. I combine naturopathic medicine and evidence-based hormone therapy to help women feel like themselves again.

After years navigating my own hormone concerns — and more than a decade of clinical practice and advanced training in menopause medicine — I've built a practice around the care I wish had existed when I needed it most.

As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), I'm among a small group of clinicians in Canada who have completed focused, evidence-based training specifically in perimenopause and menopause care. That means I'm equipped to have the full conversation — about hormone therapy, about long-term health risks, and about what's actually right for you — not just the 15-minute version.

I know how it feels to be told "you're fine" when you know you're not.

Like many of the women who find their way to my practice, I spent years searching for answers. Going from one appointment to the next, collecting test results that all came back normal, and leaving each visit feeling more confused than when I arrived.

That experience is why I practice the way I do. And it's why I understand, in a very personal way, how much it matters to finally have someone look at your full picture.

Perimenopause starts earlier than most women are told.

Hormone changes can begin 7–10 years (or more) before your final period — often in the late 30s or early 40s. Most women are never told this, which means most women are navigating real symptoms without any explanation or support.

15.7 minutes.

The average length of a woman's appointment with her family doctor. Not enough time to thoroughly assess what's happening hormonally — or to have the conversation you actually need.

This stage of life deserves dedicated attention.

What you're experiencing right now — the sleep disruption, mood shifts, hot flashes, and sense that something has shifted — is real. So is what's at stake long-term. The hormonal changes of perimenopause can affect cardiovascular health, bone density, metabolism and more. The right support addresses both.

If you've been wondering whether what you're feeling is normal, it is. And it deserves more than a wait-and-see response.

You may be experiencing hot flashes, or night sweats disrupting your sleep. Your periods may have become heavier, irregular, or unpredictable. You're gaining weight despite nothing changing. Your mood feels foreign. You're exhausted in a way that rest doesn't fix.

You've possibly already seen your health care provider and left with more questions than answers.

This is what perimenopause looks like for most women. And it's exactly what my practice is built around.
