Dr. Jaffer Khan was the first surgeon in the UAE to pass the specialty fellowship examination of the Joint Royal Colleges in Plastic Surgery. A pioneer of facial resurfacing, he introduced the first Erbium YAG laser to Riyadh in 1997 and to Dubai in 1998. Today, he gives back to the profession as a Visiting Professor at Anglia Ruskin University, co-leading the Masters in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery programme in Dubai alongside Professor Frame.
