If you play the lottery do you ever wonder what would be worse--not getting any numbers or getting 4 or 5. Well, I'm here to tell you getting all the numbers but 1 is the worst.

My father-in-law picks his own numbers. He got all the numbers except for the last one. He picked 42 and the number came up 48. They missed out on millions of dollars. Sure, they got like $800 but it is driving them nuts! And it is driving us nuts because they would have paid off our house. Our house would be paid off. I can't stop thinking about it.

*sigh*

Remus/Tonks and Tumblr

So, I'm on Tumblr. Anyone else? If you are--I'm hbrad1977 on there!

Anyway, I've been on this Remus/Tonks kick for the last few days from reading all the Tumblr entries about them and Teddy and I am so...sad. :( JKR screwed us! She totally did. They did not have to die. Not both of them. It was simply a plot point and it sucked. Yes, it's her books, her world, blah blah blah but I'm so mad at her right now. I actually cried a little about it today, which is years late, I know. I didn't even cry when I read it (I was prepared).

If I could change anything about the books, it would only be 2 things:

Remus and Tonks dying

and

Harry ending up with Ginny.

that's all.

Also, people have been asking for OotP Remus/Tonks fic recs and the only I still hold dear are the ones by moonlitwoods but they are gone. :(

As a side note, I actually had to google what her old username used to be. I swear my mind is going. To where? I don't know but nowhere good. :p

iCarly: Yay! My Seddie got together. Kiddie show. Don't care. LOVE them. Sam and Freddie are perfect together. I even bought an iCarly folder for work. :p

Rookie Blue: Tonight's episode. Really, show? Really? You are SUCH a tease. An almost McSwarek kiss but no. And the ending killed me. Next week looks promising though.

Doctor Who: I haven't watched since Eleven took over. Nothing against him or anything, I just realized that I only watched for Donna.

Downton Abbey: 2nd season is starting at the end of this year. Cannot wait! Mrs. Bates comes back. Drama. Kick her ass, Anna!

Switched at Birth: Randomly started watching this show. LOVE it. I ship Bemmett (Bay/Emmett) HARD. Even though the actress that plays Bay is the one who played April, Luke's daughter on Gilmore Girls and screwed up my Luke/Lorelai. I love her in SAB.

I have being reading all the posts on my friends page but have been too lazy to comment. I will do that now.

Smoker no more...kind of.

I've been a smoker since I was 16 yrs old. And it sucks. I hate it. The things I hate the most is the taste, the smell, the harmful chemicals, and the fact that I can't quit. The only time I was able to quit was when I was pregnant with Jake and that was only because the smell made me puke. But then again, pretty much everything made me puke when I was pregnant. Worst. Pregnancy. Ever. But that's another story.

What I like about it is the actual act of smoking. The calming sensation of inhaling and exhaling.

So, recently I discovered e-cigarettes. Or 'vaping'. Basically, you get the nicotine and the actions of smoking but no tobacco or any of the harmful toxins including second-hand smoke. You inhale nicotine plus whatever flavor you chose (and there are many!) and exhale water vapor. Nicotine by itself is as harmless/harmful as caffeine. By themselves they are simply stimulants.

Mike and I are both doing it and he started with the Volcano. A small unit that is the same size as an actual ciggarette. Mike didn't like it. He couldn't get the inhaling right. You inhale differently than with a normal cig. I did some research and decided on a Joye 510--a bigger unit with a manual button. I got 2--one in pink, one in red (pretty!). Mike took one drag and decided that was it for him. Gone was the Volcano and he took my red one to use...lol.

And like everything else in my life, I completely immersed myself in the whole 'vaping' experience. Mike sticks with the tobacco flavors while I, at the moment, am switching between Carmello and Swedish Fish flavors. I'm on my 4th day of absolutely NO analog cigs and it is going very well. I have no craving for analogs at all.

Did I also mention the price? We used to spend around $400/month on cigs. Now, it will cost us around $20-30. Yeah. Awesome.

I also have a red one with a purple led. :)

I didn't mean to sound like a commercial or anything. I am just really excited about this.

Also...in the last month--me, Mike, my sis-in-law, her bro-in-law, her mom-in-law, my dad, my bro-in law, my boss, her husand, my ex-boss and her husband..oh and my sister's ex-mom-in-law have all switched over to vaping just from me talking about it. Mike says I should get commission. LOL...I should! Pretty soon no one I know will smoke actual cigs.

So, that's what I've been up to. :)

Mike and I were lying in bed and he said:

Mike: I have to make a confession.

Heather: Okay.

Mike: I think I did something really bad this morning while you were sleeping.

Heather: What?

Mike: I put your thing in my thing.

Heather: *laughs* What?

He is really embarassed at this point. Hiding his face.

Heather: What did you do? What things?

Mike: Well, no. It was more like I put your thing and my thing together.

At this point, I am dying laughing. He is not one to mince words. He doesn't say "your thing" and "my thing" like a 4 year old.

Heather: What are you talking about?

Mike: It was like this. *sticks his finger in his fist and moves it all about" For like 40 seconds. *pause* And it was wet.

We are both crying now we are laughing so hard.

Heather: There is no way I would not feel that. I'm a very light sleeper.

Yeah, he accidentally used my toothbrush.

LOL.

What can I say about this episode except WOW! I came into this episode mildly entertained by the show and a bit of a Nathan/Kelly shipper. I came out just in awe of what happened. It completely transformed my opinion of the show and my shipping preferences. The show before this episode, IMO, was funny and dramatic but not in a heavy way. Now, it actually seems like there is a greater purpose to the show. And I never shipped Nathan/Kelly in a serious way. They're both funny as hell and I thought it'd be amusing if they hooked up. Now, it looks like it's not gonna happened with them but I couldn't care less because...SIMON/ALISHA!! OMG! What can I say about them. I never really considered them before and now we find out that the "superhero" guy is future!Simon and he's come back to help the gang out and to (presumably) save Alisha because they are/were/will be in love. It's so romantic and...deep. And future!Simon is SO different (and way sexier) than present!Simon. I'm impressed. LOL. And that sex scene? Holy Shit! That was one of the hottest sex scenes I've ever seen!

Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet are my favorite ship forever and ever and ever! They are quite simply perfect in so many imperfect ways. They are both prideful and arrogant (him more than her) and stubborn (her more than him). He struggles to get past their class difference while she is quite eager to believe every bad thing about him. It is after his horrible proposal that these two really shine. Hands down the best proposal ever because it was the worst proposal ever! How are you going to propose to someone by completely insulting them and their family and then be shocked when they say no? LOL. I mean, I get it--why he was so conflicted. He was expected to marry someone of his own "class" but instead fell violently in love with a woman well beneath it. The proposal was romantic in the way that he was willing to throw everything aside because he couldn't NOT marry her. *sigh* But the execution was...well, extremely ill-advised. :D

Day 25. A pairing that was/would-be adorable, but could never work out?: Col. Fitzwilliam/Kitty Bennet Pride and Prejudice

There is a bit of an age difference but that didn't matter too much in those days. Kitty (along with Lydia) was one of the Elizabeth Bennet's "ridiculous" sisters. Always giggling and looking to have fun, Kitty and Lydia loved balls and soldiers. Lydia was worse in her ignorance but Kitty just went along with her. She needed someone to settle her down but would also allow her to have her fun. Col. Fitzwilliam was very laid-back and easy to get along with but still a bit serious--AND he was also a soldier. He, unfortunately, was a third(?) son and therefore had to marry a woman with a fortune of her won--which Kitty did NOT possess.

Day 26. A pairing that you hated and ended up loving?: Clay/Gemma Sons of Anarchy

I just started watching this series but at first I thought Gemma was too controlling and Clay seemed to do whatever she said and together...well, I didn't know what to think of them together. All I knew was that I did NOT like Gemma or Clay. I changed mind about halfway into the first Season. I LOVE them together. I know now that they truly love each other and would do anything for each other and for anyone else they love.

Day 27. A pairing that you loved and ended up hating?: Dante/Lulu General Hospital

Okay, I loved this couple. They had so much potential. Dante was actually a good guy, not a General Hospital "good guy" (read: Jason and Sonny) but an actual one with ethics and everything. And Lulu was actually not annoying at all with him. Then Dante found out Sonny was his father and it all went to crap. That and they are overplayed. It's sad because they had great build-up and a lot of chemistry but they are on just TOO much. Guza strikes again.

Day 22. A pairing you hate and no one else understands why?: Stone/Robin General Hospital

They were epic, ground-breaking, tragic, young and in love...blah, blah, blah. Yes, I am a Patrick/Robin shipper but that honestly has nothing to do with why I hated Stone/Robin. Sometimes I think I should feel bad for hating Stone. I mean, he did die tragically young from a horrible disease but...well, I just didn't like him as a person at all. Not to mention Robin! Wow! I really hated her back then. Pompous, annoying, goody-two-shoes. And with Stone, they were both so annoyingly sickly sweet they made me want to vomit. Yes, I'm sorry he died at such a young age and yes, I'm sorry Robin was infected with HIV but that's as far as it goes with these two.

Now...I love Robin. Maybe it's because I grew up and my tastes have changed. I don't know but I don't have any precious memories of Stone/Robin.

Day 23 - A crazy love triangle/quadrilateral that worked out great?: Roy/Pam/Jim/Karen The Office

I'm not sure if this is the proper example of a love quadrilateral but it was 4-sided so I'm going to use it. Pam was engaged to Roy but was in love with Jim. Jim was in love with Pam and confessed his love but she turned him down. Then she called off her wedding but then Jim started dating Karen. It was a big mess but it all turned out right in the end. ♥

Day 24. A crazy love triangle/quadrilateral that worked out badly?: Puck/Quinn/Finn/Rachel Glee

I wanted Puck/Rachel. I still want Puck/Rachel. But Rachel is now with Finn and Puck is still obviously in love with Quinn. *sigh* I had high hopes but alas, it does not seem meant to be.

In other news: I am completely in love with the new remake of Hawaii 5-0. Alex O'Loughlin is YUM-MY!

It'll probably never happen since the show seems to be all about Rachel/Finn but I think Puck/Rachel has so many more wonderful possiblities. They are so different but they could benefit each other in great ways. The one episode where they did date was fantastic. They were so honest and real with each other in a way they haven't been with others.

I know I used them already but they are the first and only couple that comes to my mind with talking about unresolved sexual tension. The show need to put them together for real. Like now.

Harry/Luna Harry Potter

This one was difficult because A) I am almost always a canon shipper and B) there is a fanbase for EVERY couple. There is most definitely someone out there who understands why you ship any pairing. So, I decided on a couple that most of my friendslist doesn't agree on. Since I am a Ron/Hermione shipper that almost always goes along with Harry/Ginny shippers. I never liked Ginny. I tried, I failed. I even tried Draco/Ginny for awhile to try to like her. I did like her in that pairing but that's fanon. Ever since she was little I thought she was a snotty little brat and as the series went on--I (and she) never changed my mind. In never thought she was after Harry because of this fame and I NEVER thought she was a slut (come on!). It was just her general personality that annoyed me. So no, if given a preference I didn't want Harry to end up with her but since I (obviously) wasn't given the choice--it was fine. That's who JKR thought Harry should be with and that's fine. However, if I wrote the books (LOL..yeah, right) I would have loved Harry to end up with Luna. She was sweet and honest and yes, wierd but with all the seriousness Harry went through in the first 17 years of his life--he could've used a little wimsy, a little sillyness. Ya know? I truly think they could've been very happy together.

Day 18. What is the cutest pairing?: Chad/Sonny Sonny With a Chance

Yes, I know it's a Disney show but I have an 11 yr-old and I watch TV with him and I get invested in some of the couples. *shrugs* I'm not really one for "cutesy" couples. I like my couples to have more conflict and drama in their relationships. Chad and Sonny are actually very cute though. They obviously had a crush on each other from the start and are surprisingly sweet to each other in unguarded moments. They've only just recently become a couple on the show.

Day 17. A pairing you thought would never work out, but did?: Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie

This one took me a long time to decide on because I am usually very good at predicting outcomes of pairings on TV/Movies. So good, in fact I couldn't think of a single one that stumped me. So, I had to go with a real life couple. Real life is much more complicated and harder to figure out than TV or movies. My pick is: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. When he left Jennifer Aniston for Angelina, I assumed it was just a fling that he used to get out of his marriage. I didn't really expect them to actually fall in love and start a (large) family. So, they fooled me and have worked out. So far.
