[Ladies and gents, Ryuuzaki Umi is on a mission. A mission of friendship~~, beauty, truth and looove--~~ that has her trekking through ice and slush trying to get as close as she can to that Violet City place, because that is where her BFFs are. She's come up against snow, rain, and a very friendly Ditto, and now...she faces a new foe. Possibly her most fearsome one yet. One powerful enough that it might not be beatable...!

The ledge.

And now, for your viewing pleasure: Umi versus the laws of physics, part we-don't-know-but-possibly-a-lot. Her audience thus far consists of a few highly-entertained animals.]

Really-- what's with this?! What's your name... Sentret! You can stand on that tail, right? C'mere! [Obviously she has a new Pokemon, and boy, is it cute. The sentret looks at her dubiously, but complies. It's only when she looks like she's gonna try climbing on it to get over the ledge that the sentret starts panicking; it squeaks a few times and runs to hide behind Weirdo Crab, who's watching and looking almost amused.. Evidently, DO NOT FREAKIN' WANT.]

H...hey! Don't be so scared! Honestly...it had to be one like that...! [She huffs and glares at the ledge again. It's not even as tall as her. She SHOULD be able to climb it.

However, these attempts to do so are comical, but unsuccessful.]

Oh, come on! Don't tell me I have to go around...! It's just a stupid ledge, why can't I climb over?!

[Come on, Umi. One last attempt. You can do this--! ...Or, as we see after a few moments, not. She falls right over. Cue the frustrated hollering:] What the heck is going ON with this?!

[The first thing you hear when the video cuts on is the steady sound of footsteps...and if you're listening very closely (or have the volume turned up absurdly high), some annoyed grumbling. Unfortunately, the pokedex is being held in such a way that the camera isn't recording anything but the inside of a palm.]

Honestly...! What the heck is this supposed to be, anyway?! It has to be a dream...right?? That's it-- all just some weirdo dream! I'll wake up and we'll be in Cephiro for sure, there's no way--

[The grumbling stops. You might hear the sound of scuttling in the background, too, almost in synch with the footsteps. Step...scuttle...step...scuttle...step, scuttle, "Kraaaaaaaaabbyyy"-- Wait, that's a weird noise! All at once the footsteps stop.]

You--! Would you stop FOLLOWING ME, already?!

[There's a pause...and then a sigh. Suddenly, the camera lens is uncovered: you can see a girl with long blue hair crouching down not far away from the pokedex, staring at what looks like a very confused Krabby. She's holding a twig.]

Look. This is for you, see? Fetch! [She throws the twig. The Krabby's expression in response can only be summed up as "bitch, are you for real?"] ...Well? What're you waiting for? Go get it! [...And again with the "are you fuckin' serious?" look she gets in response. She groans, rising to her feet.]

Great. I'm stuck in weirdo world, without Hikaru and Fuu...and the only one in sight is a freaky crab...!

[OOC: this can serve as an action post for anyone in new bark town, too! ♥]

Hikaru doesn't remember Umi or Fuu, but that doesn't stop Umi from trying to bond with her BFF again. They're currently making plans to meet up.

HOUOUJI FUU
Fuu and Umi always seem to play the big sister roles, now even moreso. They've chatted so far and are planning to meet up between New Bark and Goldenrod, but Umi's a little worried about Fuu, too.
